Three Reasons Why We Shouldn’t Underestimate Alejandro Kirk

The Toronto Blue Jays inconsistency continues along with the curse of the Seattle Mariners. But to look on the brighter side of things, we’ve witnessed a turnaround in Alejandro Kirk’s offense. Kirk had four hits against the Mariners on July 22nd, really doing everything he could to try to help the Jays win. It was close but no cigar as the Jays lost 9-8. Blue Jays Make First Move with Genesis Cabrera: Pros & Cons

Everyone has been so curious as to what the Toronto Blue Jays first purchase would be with trade rumours lingering, but it’s now official. The Jays have acquired reliever, Genesis Cabrera from the St. Louis Cardinals who was designated for assignment on July 17th. In return, the Jays have given up minor-league prospect Sammy Hernandez. The Toronto Blue Jays were looking to end the series with the Padres on a high note with a win. Who would have thought after the Padres shut out the Jays that they would do the same back? Everything just seemed to be going the Jays way in this game. They wanted a strong performance out of Chris Bassitt after losing the last two games against the San Diego Padres and a strong performance is exactly what he put out. The Jays bats were alive with two homers in the game, the defense was solid, and the Jays got two quality hits from Jordan Luplow. It was an exciting game to watch as the offense came alive later in the game. Let’s take a closer look at the stars of the game.
