Week 14 NFL DFS slate looks lean at first glance. There isn’t one game with an implied total over 50 and there are several bad teams in potentially excellent match-ups. Fantasy stud Lamar Jackson looks to have a difficult match-up on the road against the Buffalo Bills. However, I would not let that dissuade you as Jackson has crushed every opponent thus far. So, where can we take a stand? And, where can we pivot? To answer those questions I’m digging deep to find week 14 NFL DFS under the radar plays.

Week 14 NFL DFS: Under the Radar Plays
Quarterback: Josh Allen $6,200
The Buffalo Bills are a home underdog to the Baltimore Ravens this week. Although he’s priced higher than an under the radar value play, I think he’s a fine pivot from paying up to Jackson. Also, DFS players will look at the match-up and steer clear of Allen. I would argue, similarly to Jackson, all Allen has done is produce regardless of match-up. For instance, Buffalo was in a similar circumstance against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving day, as a road underdog. Casual observers faded Allen in a perceived difficult match-up. However, if you rostered Allen, you most likely hit the cash line. Additionally, the Ravens are a six-point favorite with a 43 implied total. Those numbers should have us believe that Allen will be passing and doing what he does best. And that is making plays out of the pocket with his feet.
Week 13 under the radar play: Nick Foles, 1.02 fantasy points. Outcome: Shakes head!
Running Back: Melvin Gordon $6,400
The Los Angeles Chargers continue to give Gordon 20 or more touches per game. Gordon is under the radar due to the fact that there are other running backs in stand-out spots. After plugging in Christian McCaffrey, line-up construction will be centered on the potential playing time of Alexander Mattison subbing in for the injured Dalvin Cook and then one of Nick Chubb, Josh Jacobs or Derrick Henry, all in plus match-ups. Gordon’s mid-range price on DraftKings might steer people away from clicking on his name. Also, keep in mind that the Jacksonville Jaguars are bottom ten in rush defense and allowed Peyton Barber to find the endzone twice in week 13. I like the match-up and I love the potential of low ownership.
Week 13 under the radar play: Phillip Lindsay, 9.20 fantasy points. Outcome: Bust!
Wide Receiver: Auden Tate $4,000
Andy Dalton‘s return to the starting line-up has increased Tate’s value in the offense. Tate led the team in yards with 66, caught six of seven targets, and continues to be a red-zone threat. I also get the feeling that the AFC North opponents of the Cleveland Browns would like nothing better than to rub their noses in the dirt. The Cincinnati Bengals should be in a negative game script, as an eight and a half point underdog, leading to the Bengals and Dalton to a pass-heavy offense. Both teams are in dumpster fire mode, so this could go one of two ways: a lot of passing and a lot of turnovers or just a low score with a lot of turnovers. The bottom line is it’s really just a dumpster fire. Look away.
Week 13 under the radar play: Davante Adams, 24.40 fantasy points. Outcome: BOOM!
Tight End: Kyle Rudolph $4,400
The chalk-play will be Vance McDonald, for $4,300, against the tight end funnel, Arizona Cardinals. However, the Detroit Lions are equally as inept at covering the tight end position. Additionally, Rudolph has victimized the Lions and that should continue this week. The Vikings run game will get plenty of attention, especially if Mattison gets the start at running back. This is merely a pivot off of McDonald. If you do MME (mass multi-entry) line-ups, Rudolph is worth a shot. He continues to see an average of five targets per game and is getting used in the red zone. Although I typically punt the tight end position, I can see Rudolph getting double-digit fantasy points.
Week 13 under the radar play: Kaden Smith, 13.00 fantasy points. Outcome: Boom!
Defense: Tampa Bay Buccaneers $2,300
I’m looking to spend down on defense. I like the Buccaneers at home against the Indianapolis Colts. The Buccaneers are equipped to stop the run and Jacoby Brissett is doing nothing to inspire confidence in the passing game. Additionally, Brissett is trending downward. He hasn’t done as good of a job protecting the football and is taking more sacks. Although the Buccaneers have given up the third-most touchdowns through the air, they are in the middle of the pack when it comes to sacks and interceptions. The only caveat being the presence of T.Y. Hilton. If Hilton is able to play I would spend an extra one hundred dollars and roster the Cardinals. Hilton’s absence has severely hindered the Colt’s offensive ability and could be correlated to Brissett’s downturn on the stat sheet. The Cardinals are at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Week 13 under the radar play: Baltimore Ravens 7.0 fantasy points. Outcome: Ok!
Under the Radar
Value will be focused on a few players this week. Is the chalk good or bad? If Cook is ruled out, Mattison, in my opinion, is good chalk. I’ll take the free square. Additionally, I’ll look to roster a value wide receiver. After jamming in the studs, McCaffrey et al., I’ll look to pivot on mid-priced players that are going under the radar.
