But frustrating moments for the Toronto Blue Jays have led fans to question players’ capabilities. Players will go through struggles, but what’s important is how a player bounces back from their struggles. There’s been a lot of online criticism regarding Daulton Varsho with his offensive drought, but the game against the LA Dodgers on July 26th has somewhat silenced that criticism. In addition, Matt Chapman is another player that has really turned around his game. He continues to hit key home runs and he is without question the Jays top defensive gem. Jays Shut out Padres: Star Players of the Game

The Toronto Blue Jays were looking to end the series with the Padres on a high note with a win. Who would have thought after the Padres shut out the Jays that they would do the same back? Everything just seemed to be going the Jays way in this game. They wanted a strong performance out of Chris Bassitt after losing the last two games against the San Diego Padres and a strong performance is exactly what he put out. The Jays bats were alive with two homers in the game, the defense was solid, and the Jays got two quality hits from Jordan Luplow.
