2024 BIG3 Basketball: Top Week 2 Performances

Season seven of the BIG3 rolled on with week 2 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida after a highly successful opening week across the league. Big attendance and viewership numbers were the story in week one along with the on-court product. Like last week, there were some big performances in week two that got everyone talking. On top of that, three four-pointers were made as opposed to none in week one. Through two weeks, the Enemies and Bivouac are the only undefeated teams left while Trilogy and the Killer 3’s have yet to win a game. It’s been an exciting couple of Saturdays in the BIG3 so far and it will get even better as the season progresses.

BIG3 Basketball: Top Week 2 Performances

Jason Richardson (Tri-State)

Week 2 stats: 25 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks

Leading the league this week in points with 25 was Tri-State’s Jason Richardson. 12 of those points came via the three-ball as he made four from deep. He played a pivotal role in Tri-State getting ahead early and never looking back as he also added in 11 rebounds. He added some plays on defense as well, adding two steals and two blocks. The 43-year-old has been doing it at both ends of the floor so far this season and will be a big factor in what the team does on the court this season.

Corey Brewer (Bivouac)

Week 2 stats: 24 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, 1 block

Corey Brewer followed up a 12-point, 10 rebounds double-double last week with nearly another one this week. This time he put up the second-most points on the week as he had 24 points with nine rebounds and two assists. Brewer played some nice defense to back up his great offensive performance as he had four steals and a block. His back-to-back nice performances are why Bivouac is 2-0 to start the season.

Elijah Stewart (Enemies)

Week 2 stats: 23 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals

The Enemies start their championship defense 2-0 on the backs of Jordan Crawford and Elijah Stewart. Last week, it was Crawford leading the way with 20 points, and this week it was Stewart leading the way with 23 points. He tallied six rebounds, two assists, and two steals to his performance. Three were made behind the arc in week one for him and this week he made four, including the game-winning three. If Stewart keeps up this play, the Enemies have a real chance of repeating.

Marcus Foster (Power)

Week 2 stats: 22 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block

In week one, Power scored 50 points and lost. That was with Marcus Foster scoring 15 points. This week, they scored 51 and won with Foster scoring 22 points. It’s evident early on that he’s becoming one of Power’s go-to guys and he’s proved that he can handle it. Foster also added in six rebounds and an assist with a block on the defensive end.

Michael Beasley (3’s Company)

Week 2 stats: 22 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block

Leading the way for 3’s Company last week with 15 points was Michael Beasley. He led the way again for the team this week with 22 points and added in six rebounds and a block. 3’s Company has been scoring in bunches. Last week Beasley got help with three others scoring in double digits and in week two he got help via a double-double from Reggie Evans. As long as Beasley keeps getting that help, that will take the pressure off of him and enable him to do what he does best, score.

Earl Clark (Trilogy)

Week 2 stats: 20 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

The back-to-back champions in 2021-2022 find themselves 0-2 to start the campaign in 2024. This past week, they got dominated by 10 and that was with a late run in the game. It’s certainly not because of the performance lacking from Earl Clark because he has been on his game to start the season. He had 11 points and 12 rebounds last week to go with four blocks and a steal. This week, he nearly had another double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Clark has continued his defensive dominance as he collected another steal and block.

Other Notable Performances:

Jeremy Pargo (Triplets): 20 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 four-pointers
Marquis Teague (3 Headed Monsters): 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block
