I’m digging deep for the week ten NFL DFS under the radar plays. Two games have implied totals over fifty points, the Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints and the Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which will garner the most ownership. Carolina Panthers visit the Green Bay Packers which also has a relatively high implied total opening at 48 points. Unlike last week’s salaries being high and tight this week’s main slate offers more space and value at each position. Let’s dig in and find the week ten NFL DFS under the radar play that offers value and a pivot from the chalk.

Week Ten NFL DFS: Under the Radar Plays
Quarterback: Mitchell Trubisky $5,100
This pick is painful for me to type. Trubisky has been absolutely atrocious this year. Last year’s flashes of excellence are a mere figment of our imagination. There really isn’t any way I roster Trubisky on any DFS lineup. But, the Detroit Lions have a habit of making rookies and struggling quarterbacks look very good. The Lions defense is ranked in the bottom ten of most categories. Additionally, the Lions will be on back to back road games. The question is do you trust the Lions defense to do what the rest of the league has done? Make Trubisky look like a top ten draft pick bust. Trubisky’s only good fantasy output came in garbage time against the Saints once the game was out of hand.
This pick is a gamble and the Chicago Bears could lean on David Montgomery considering the Lions can’t stop the run either. Ownership will be low on Trubisky and could be worth the risk.
Other Cheap quarterbacks to consider are Matt Moore $4,900 @ Tennesse Titans and Ryan Finley $4,800 home against the Baltimore Ravens
Week nine pick: Philip Rivers 11.9 fantasy points. Outcome: Bust!
Running Back: Ronald Jones II $4,300
There are a few running backs under 5K that stand out and Jones is one of them. The Buccaneers host the Cardinals in a game with the highest implied total of 53 and a half points. Head Coach, Bruce Arians, has announced that Jones is the starting running back moving forward. Jones got 20 total touches in last week’s tilt with the Seattle Seahawks and finished with 16 fantasy points. DFS players will surely go back to the Buccaneers passing attack for good reason. However, the Cardinals are bottom ten against the run. This could be considered a “hedge” play. In three line-up max tournaments, you could use Jones as a pivot from the highly owned passing game from both teams.
Week nine pick: Phillip Lindsay 15.2 fantasy points. Outcome: Solid.
Wide Receiver: Taylor Gabriel $4,000
I could make a case for several receivers in the four thousand dollar range. I chose to stack under the radar plays this week. Gabriel plays on the side of the field that gets the most attention against the Detroit defense which is the opposite side of Darius Slay. Additionally, he has the speed to get behind the defense and take one to the house on any given play. He’s already proven to have Trubisky’s confidence and slot receiver Anthony Miller‘s inconsistent play may lead to more looks Gabriel’s way. Gabriel is worth sprinkling into mass multi-entry (MME) contests. Definitely a boom or bust play. Let’s just say I have a hunch on this one.
Week nine pick: D.J. Moore 20.1 fantasy points. Outcome. BOOM!
Tight End: Mike Gesicki $3,100
The Miami Dolphins travel to the Indianapolis Colts. We can count on Ryan Fitzpatrick having to continue to sling the ball. With that being said, Gesicki is finally getting some run and the Colts defense is bottom ten against the tight end position. He’s averaged five targets over the last four games and it has just been reported that Preston Williams was placed in injured reserve. This could lead to more targets for Gesicki continues to earn the trust of Fitzpatrick.
Last week I wrote up Cameron Brate, and you could go back to him due to the tight end funnel that the Cardinals are. However, his price came up just a bit, $3,700, given the match-up.
Week nine pick: Cameron Brate zero fantasy points. Outcome. BUST!
Defense: Tennessee Titans $2,000
The Titans, although home under-dogs in a high implied total of 48 and a half points have shown the ability to get to the quarterback and force interceptions. Last week was the first week that they’ve allowed more than 20 points in a game this year. I think it’s safe to say the Kansas City Chiefs go over that without a problem. However, if Moore starts one more week for Patrick Mahomes it is within the range of outcomes that the Chiefs sputter on the road. Additionally, if the Titans can get a lead, they will lean on Derrick Henry to milk the clock forcing the Chiefs to the air which could lead to mistakes in the passing game. I like the Titans to come out fired up after being embarrassed in Carolina last week.
Week nine pick: Washington Redskins two fantasy points. Outcome. BUST!
Under the Radar
Week ten NFL DFS offers more variability than last week. There isn’t a free square, yet, like last week’s Jaylen Samuels. However, there is value to be had. Where will you take a stand? Who do you think is flying under the radar?
