Maxx Crosby NFL trade deadline

3 NFL Stars Who Could Be on the Move Before the Trade Deadline

The NFL season is full of surprises, and as the teams fight for playoff spots down the road, some big names could be on the move. With the trade deadline approaching, teams will have to decide whether they keep their players or trade them for draft picks or players.

For teams that are struggling, trading away your most valuable player is the first move to rebuilding. While teams continue to make major moves and strengthen their roster, here are three NFL stars that could be on the move.

Potential NFL Trade Candidates

3. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns

Top landing spots: Bills, Patriots, Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles

Jerry Jeudy is a 27-year-old talented wide receiver. He is known for his quickness and speed, and he is really good at route-running. He can create perfect opportunities for this team to score, and he can make crazy plays down the field. His ability to get open would make him a very valuable player to many teams looking to improve their receiver core before the trade deadline.

Now entering week 4, let’s just say things have not gone well for Jeudy; he has played in every game so far, but has only gotten three catches for 62 yards. But nonetheless, Jeudy would be a talented player for many teams that are struggling with their receiver core.

2. Vita Vea, DL, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Top landing spots: 49ers, Bears, Bills

Vea is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, using his strength and body size to dominate opposing teams. Vea puts really good pressure on the quarterback, and he breaks right through the offensive line. He is excellent at stopping the running game and shutting down run-lane opportunities. Vea is a 31-year-old beast; he has crazy abilities and could be very effective for many teams’ defensive line.

Many teams are looking to build up a roster to prepare for the playoffs and what may come. Many teams could definitely afford him; his cap hit is $10,834,460, definitely not horrible. Vea has signed a contract through the 2027 season, but he could still be a huge target for a possible trade.

1. Maxx Crosby, DL, Las Vegas Raiders

Top Landing spots: Jaguars, Patriots, Cowboys

Crosby is one of the NFL’s most elite defensive ends, using his strength, speed, and his best ability to put pressure on the quarterback. He is an excellent pass rusher who can find his way through the offensive linemen and make big plays out in the backfield. Crosby is also a very talented run defender, using his instincts to stop the run. His amazing ability makes him a top target for multiple teams before the trade deadline.

Crosby could definitely give a team a major boost on the defensive line, bringing pressure on the quarterback and toughness and experience. Crosby cap hit is $35.8 million, so trading for him, you would definitely need to create cap space.
