Vita Vea has been with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers his whole career, and he seeks a new contract beyond his one-year extension through 2027, and if he does not get signed, he could go elsewhere.
The Buccaneers need to sign him long-term and keep him on the field for years to come. The Bucs are unlikely to trade Vea, but never say never.

3. San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers would be a great place for Vea. But the only problem is that the 49ers already traded for a DT; he is Osa Odighizuwa, but both of the edge rushers, Mykel Williams and Nick Bosa, are on the injury list. So if Vea were to come here, he would have a position that he could play at. Vea has 11.5 sacks in the last three seasons. The 49ers have tons of cap space for Vea.
The 49ers still would want their youngsters to grow, players like Alfred Collins and CJ West, but given how many players get put on the injury list, Vea would definitely get playing time, and I bet the 49ers would definitely find room for him. They are true contenders for the Super Bowl, and the Bucs think the same; it would definitely be weird to trade Vea to a conference rival.
A lot of teams would be interested in a defensive tackle with such talent.
2. Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears spent most of the offseason doing nothing. While the Bears did add some rotation tackles, their plan is that Grady Jarrett will have a bounce-back season. Vea would close that spot for the Bears. Chicago had a solid defense last season; if they were to add Vea to that defensive line, they would have the best defense in the league.
The Bears take on the Bucs in Week 9, which would be very interesting if they traded Vea to the Bears and then matched up in a game. The Bears have a lot of trade candidates that the Bucs would want, like maybe a future star like Luther Burden III, and Cole Kmet, and also picks if needed. After the Bears did not get another upgrade at defensive line, trading for Vea would definitely fix their worries.
1. Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills had one of the top-ranked defenses last year. The top defensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills is Ed Oliver, but he is sitting on the injury list. The Bills are in need of a defensive lineman, and Vea would be a perfect fit.
After the loss of Joey Bosa, the Bills’ defense is not as great as it was last season. If the Bills traded for Vea, their defense would be much better and would not need to worry about bringing in more defense. If the Bucs had to trade Vea away, the Bills would be the best fit. Tampa Bay does not face Buffalo once this season, so a trade like that would definitely make sense.
The one thing that the Bills have is cap space and a perfect scheme fit for Vea. Buffalo could trade picks for him, or maybe players like T.J. Sanders and Khalil Shakir, players that the Bucs need.
