Post-2025 NFL Draft Unrestricted Free-Agent Signings

The 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay wrapped up this past Saturday. With one of the most exciting times on the NFL calendar over, teams shift their focus back to the unrestricted free agent market to fill some holes left on the roster. Sunday started the first of multiple players signing deals with teams. As of this writing, there have been five free-agent signings since the draft concluded and there’s more expected whether it’s in the coming days or throughout the summer. Let’s take a look at who the signees have been so far.

Free-Agent Signings Post-NFL Draft

DE Emmanuel Ogbah (Team: Jacksonville Jaguars)

The Jacksonville Jaguars filled a need at pass rush as they signed one of the top remaining left in defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah. Signing a one-year contract worth up to $5 million, he will join the likes of Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker.

In nine seasons, Ogbah has racked up 47.5 sacks with 112 quarterback hits in 123 games. He’s also tallied 317 tackles and nine forced fumbles. Last season with the Miami Dolphins, who he’s spent the last five seasons with, Ogbah had five sacks and 49 tackles, which was the most since his rookie season. Nine of those were for a loss, which tied his career high. The 31-year-old pass rusher will give a good boost to the Jaguars defense.

WR Hunter Renfrow (Team: Carolina Panthers)

Hunter Renfrow is back in the league after taking a year off. The wide receiver signs a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. He spent five seasons in the league, all with the Las Vegas Raiders, and tallied 269 receptions for 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns. Renfrow also was a pro bowler in 2021, where he accumulated a 1,000-yard season on nine touchdown catches. He is a reliable pass catcher as well, hauling in 74.1 percent of balls thrown his way, which is the best of any receiver in Raiders history since the league started tracking the stat.

Renfrow joins a healthy wide receiver group that includes the likes of Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker, and 2025 first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan. He will also be tasked with being a reliable receiver to young quarterback Bryce Young, who the Panthers are still trying to figure out what they have in him.

WR Robert Woods (Team: Pittsburgh Steelers)

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be Robert Woods‘ fifth stop in the NFL, signing a 1-year, $2 million deal. Woods gives the Steelers more depth and a veteran option who’s had a couple of 1,000-yard seasons with the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 and 2019. Those days are behind him at 33 years old but he gives Pittsburgh another option between one of the best duo’s in the NFL with D.K. Metcalf and George Pickens.

LB/S Isaiah Simmons (Team: Green Bay Packers)

After being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals eighth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Isaiah Simmons has failed to show what got him drafted that high. He’s a freak athlete with versatility but just hasn’t popped off. Simmons spent the last two seasons with the New York Giants but did even less there. In five seasons between the two teams, he’s combined for just 8.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss.

Now he joins a Green Bay Packers team who’s looking to unlock his potential with defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. He’s just 26 years old with great size and, as mentioned, athleticism. If there were a season to break out, it could be this upcoming season.

WR Diontae Johnson (Team: Cleveland Browns)

This will be Diontae Johnson‘s third AFC North team as he played for the Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and now the Cleveland Browns. This is his fifth overall team in his six-year NFL career, with three of those teams coming in just 2024 alone.

Johnson has a lot of talent and the Browns hope he will leave the drama behind him and get back to his Pittsburgh days where he was a pro-bowl player in 2021 with 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns. If he does, he will line up well with Jerry Juedy, as the Browns needed another veteran receiver.
