NFL Week Six

NFL Week Six Games To Watch

The season is quickly moving along and we are getting a pretty good idea of what teams are. NFL Week six starts with Daniel Jones and the 2-3 New York Giants traveling to Foxborough to take on Tom Brady and the undefeated New England Patriots. Many match-ups this week will tell us more about teams and may tell us all we need to know. There are some good match-ups in week six and a lot on the line for a few of teams.

NFL Week Six Games To Watch

Seattle Seahawks vs Cleveland Browns

This game will a quite interesting NFL week six matchup. The Seattle Seahawks will be on ten days rest coming off of a one-point victory on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams. That was a huge divisional win and they want to build off of that and go to 5-1 on the season. Both the Seahawks’ offense and defense will be a huge challenge for the Cleveland Browns. This will be a huge statement game for the Browns at home. This game will tell us if they are serious about contending. They have been inconsistent all year as well as quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Browns have a lot of talent on their team but they can’t seem to get the chemistry down yet. Mayfield has to be better and take over this team. This is a bigger game for them than the Seahawks. We will see if the Browns can get toi .500 and prove that they can compete.

Houston Texans vs Kansas City Chiefs

This is a big AFC battle between two division leaders. The Kansas City Chiefs come off a loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes and the offense didn’t look good and the defense in key situations couldn’t get the stop, especially the run defense. The Chiefs aren’t used to looking like that, even for one week. Many teams have adjusted and maybe figured out a way to contain Mahomes and the offense. That’s what the 3-2 Houston Texans need to figure out. The Texans have been known for their defense for a while but lately, it’s been the offense that has carried them. The defense needs to get back to dominance and find a way to take down Mahomes. This game may tell us if the Texans finally has what it takes to play with the big dogs in the AFC.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings

It’s a battle of the 3-2 teams and it’s a big game for both. The Philadelphia Eagles are tied for first in the NFC East but the Minnesota Vikings are in last place in the NFC North. The Eagles have a lot of talent on their team and may have the most talent in the NFL but they got off to a shaky start. Many were surprised and thought that the Dallas Cowboys would run away with that division but not so fast. The Eagles have won their last two games while the Cowboys have lost two in a row. They have a lot of momentum and a win on the road would be a huge boost to the team. As for the Vikings, this is a very important game. Ever since Kirk Cousins has joined the Vikings, he can’t seem to win a big game and this is one of them. A loss for the Vikings won’t bury them but it will hurt their chances since they are in last place. A win at home will give them confidence and they would sit at a comfortable 4-2. These two teams may be fighting for a wild card spot later in the season.

Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers

This is a huge divisional game for both teams. The Green Bay Packers sit in first place at 4-1 and are feeling good on both sides of the ball right now. The Detroit Lions are sitting in second at 2-1-1 and could use a huge win like this on the road at Lambeau. The Lions look better as a team early on. They are also coming off of a bye week so that gives them time to prepare for the Packers. They look like they can compete this season but we need to see more from them. The Packers defense has helped this team and won them a couple of games so far this season. The Packers haven’t had a defense for a while but they sure have one now. The offense got off to a slow start but they have progressed every week. They have had a tough time against the Lions the past two seasons but this is a different team that is feeling good about where they’re at. This game will tell us if the Lions can challenge these types of teams as the season moves forward.

San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams

This is probably the biggest game of the NFL week six slate. The San Francisco 49ers are undefeated at 4-0 and look pretty good on both sides of the ball. They got their bye week out of the way early so it’s full steam ahead for them. The Rams are 3-2 but they are always dangerous. Their defense has not been good at all which is a complete surprise. The offense is still explosive which may give them a good chance but if that defense can’t slow down the 49ers then they will fall a couple of games back in the division. A 49ers win will give them the edge in the division but if they lose, all they are doing is inviting the Rams back in it and giving them the momentum that no team in the NFL wants them to have.

The Final Whistle

Many of these teams still have something to prove in the NFL week six. There are two undefeated teams in the league with the 49ers being one of them and the Patriots the other. On the other hand, four teams have yet to win a game. Two of those teams are playing each other as the Washington Redskins face the Miami Dolphins. The other two are the New York Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals. This year has been interesting for all teams and we aren’t even halfway through the season. Teams change every week so it’s hard to get a good idea of what teams are but as the season moves forward and teams start to get desperate, we will see who they are and what positions they are in. Get ready for another exciting week of football!
