Five Best Odds To Win 2021 NFL MVP

We’re just under two weeks away from the start of the much anticipated 2021 season and the odds for the NFL MVP have come out. Aaron Rodgers took home the award in 2020 and he has a strong possibility to do it again this season. Despite Rodgers winning in 2020, a certain quarterback in Kansas City comes in as the favorite yet again. The NFL MVP race will be a dog fight until the end and we can’t wait for it to get started on September 9th.

Five Best Odds To Win NFL MVP

Patrick Mahomes (+500)

For the third consecutive season, Patrick Mahomes enters the year as the favorite to win the NFL MVP. He hasn’t won it the first two seasons he was the favorite but he did win it in 2018, his first season as the starter for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mahomes is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league and he’s shown that the past three years by throwing for over 4,000 yards in each season, including a 5,000-yard season. In 2020, he threw for 4,700 yards and 38 touchdowns with only six interceptions. Mahomes is going to be motivated after getting embarrassed in the Super Bowl last season and will continue to show he is the future for years to come.

Aaron Rodgers (+800)

It’s been an eventful offseason for the reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. So much speculation was out there of whether he would retire or get traded but he ultimately chose to return to the green and gold. Now, it’s time to get back to work for the three-time NFL MVP. Rodgers threw for 4,299 yards and 48 touchdowns with only five interceptions last season while running in for three to give him 51 total touchdowns.

He’s created one of the best connections in the NFL with receiver Davante Adams, who is an all-around great player in his own right. Rodgers is poised to try and win another Super Bowl before his time in Green Bay is up and with even more motivation than ever before, winning back-to-back MVPs and a Super Bowl isn’t out of the question.

Josh Allen (+1000)

If anyone has shown more improvement at the quarterback position over the last three years than Josh Allen, I would like to know who. He’s vastly improved his skills and decision-making. Allen went from throwing for just over 2,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2018 and throwing for just over 3,000 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2019, to throwing for just over 5,400 yards and 37 touchdowns in 2020, making him a top-five MVP candidate.

This season, he is projected to do even more and make a serious run at the NFL MVP and Super Bowl for the Buffalo Bills. The zip he puts on the ball and the ability to run makes him a dangerous player in this league.

Tom Brady (+1200)

What Tom Brady did last year could’ve only been done in a movie, except, in this case, it became a reality. Brady left New England after winning six Super Bowls in 20 years. He joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had talent all around with the likes of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans on offense. Antonio Brown even came on board after Brady did. The Buccaneers also had talent all around on defense. Tampa Bay needed a quarterback like Brady to step in to do his part and he did by winning a championship in his first season down south.

In 2020, Brady threw for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns to help this team get to the promised land. He now enters his age 44 season and no one knows when he will slow down. He’s projected to be right in the thick of the MVP race yet again this season. Brady and the Buccaneers have a great chance to win back-to-back Super Bowls if that defense plays like they did last season and Brady plays at a high level again.

Russell Wilson (+1400)

If the 2020 season ended at the halfway mark, Russell Wilson would be the NFL MVP. Unfortunately for Wilson, it takes a whole season to win the prestigious award and he wasn’t sharp towards the end. He finished the season with 4,212 passing yards and 40 touchdowns while rushing for 513 yards and two touchdowns. Headed into 2021, Wilson is yet again one of the favorites to win NFL MVP but he has to learn from his mistakes of the second half of 2020, including cutting down on interceptions.

There was a little drama into the offseason with the Seattle Seahawks as Wilson stated that he wanted better production from his offensive line. The Seahawks think they can get just that by drafting and getting depth in the offseason. Now that things have seemed to settle, Wilson and the Seahawks are looking forward to doing their part in making a super bowl run and that starts with a happy and healthy MVP candidate at quarterback.
