There’s been some great games and individual performances across the board in the first two weeks of the BIG3 Basketball season. Week three should be no different as these players and teams get a little bit more of an idea what to expect on the court. The BIG3 was a big success last week, reaching nearly 700,000 viewers in America while generating just over 1.1 million viewers globally. Not only is the on-court product getting better and better but the off-court promotion have been top-notch as well.
Heading into week three, there are two undefeated teams, eight teams that are 1-1, and two that are still winless. These games might be the best of the season so far when it comes to matchups and storylines. This weekend will be full of fireworks and the BIG3 will make sure to deliver their fair share of them.
Week 3 in the Big D! Catch us all weekend long starting THIS SATURDAY at 1pm ET/ 10am PT!

BIG3 Basketball: Top Week 3 Matchups
Power (1-1) vs Enemies (1-1) (Saturday, July 2nd)
The Enemies won their first game of the season last week in a close 52-49 win over Bivouac. Gerald Green went off for a second straight week for Bivouac but the Enemies had a couple of great performances to answer. That includes a near double-double from Isaiah Austin (12 pts, 9 Rebound) and a 27-point, seven-rebound, and four assist performance from Elijah Stewert. Not only did Stewert have a great game on offense but he also had three steals and a block at the other end of the court. The Enemies will look a little different in the future as they signed Jordan Crawford from the draft pool as Stewert heads to the NBA Summer League.
CONGRATULATIONS to Elijah Stewart on winning Week 2’s @microsoft Player of the Week!
Stewart becomes the youngest player in BIG3 history to win the award, and the first player from @big3enemies! #BIG3Season5 pic.twitter.com/HPMe3CGhab

Power suffered their first loss of the season last week but had another impressive outing. They spread the ball around on offense with three players reaching double-digits. Glen Rice Jr. continued his strong play as he scored 17 points with eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Royce White even stepped up from week one and scored 15 points. T.J Cline also chipped in with 10 but all of this wasn’t enough as Power also let a trio of players from 3 Headed Monsters score double-digits. This is a huge matchup for both teams and it will tell us a little more about what these teams are made of.
Killer 3s (1-1) vs Tri State (1-1) (Saturday, July 2nd)
Another set of 1-1 teams will face off on Saturday as the Killer 3s try to bounce back against a hungry Tri State team. The Killer 3s put up a huge fight against the defending champions Trilogy but fell short by three points. Even in the loss, we saw the duo of Franklin Session and Donte Green go off, with Session capturing a near triple-double as he had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. The Killer 3s may need every bit of this and more against their opponent this week.
After a disappointing 50-35 loss in week one, Tri State flipped the script in a huge way with a dominant 51-35 win over 3’s Company. They got a huge boost with captain Jason Richardson returning as he had 21 points with eight assists to go along with DaJuan Summers‘Â 18-point, seven-rebound performance. Tri State will be adding a new member to the team as Raymond Nixon will take the roster spot of Garlon Green, who is no longer with the team. This is who everyone thought Tri State would be and they carry a lot of momentum over in their matchup against a very talented Killer 3s squad.
Ghost Ballers (2-0) vs Trilogy (1-1) (Sunday, July 3rd)
This might be the best game of week three as the defending champions take on an undefeated Ghost Ballers team. Trilogy started their 2022 campaign with a six-point loss to the Triplets but followed that up with a close three-point victory over the Killer 3s. They got a great bounce-back performance from Earl Clark as he led the team in scoring with 17 points while Amir Johnson and Isiah Briscoe tallied 16 points a piece.
Trilogy has been explosive on offense so far this season and will need to keep it that way against the Ghost Ballers. There still might be something more to offer from Trilogy and if that’s the case, they’re going to be hard to stop.
The Ghost Ballers are only one of two teams left undefeated in BIG3 Basketball and you can thank the duo of Mike Taylor and Chris Johnson. These two were one of the best in the league last year when healthy and they carry that into this season.
In week one, Taylor had 18 points with six rebounds and a block while Johnson had 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. They carried that into week two as Taylor scored 19 points with three steals and Johnson had 17 points and eight rebounds. It’s safe to say that this duo might be getting even better for the Ghost Ballers. They just squeaked out a win last week and may have to do the same this week.
