In an unconventional way, the Qatar World Cup will be played from November 21st until the 18th of December instead of the usual summer slot. It’s never too early to start thinking about the best odds to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
For reference, the United States is sitting at +10,000 to win it all, tied for 15th best with Mexico and Poland on betting sites UK.
The Top 5 Best Odds to Win the 2022 FIFA World Cup
Brazil +500
The Brazilians currently have the best odds to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup and it’s of nobody’s surprise. They are the only country to have played in each of the 22 tournaments and have won a record five times. In 2018, Brazil emerged as Group E winners totaling seven points. From there, they took down Group F runner-up Mexico, 2-0 in the round of 16. Their journey ended as they fell to Belgium in the quarterfinals, 2-1.
For 2022, Brazil is in Group G along with Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon. Brazil, Serbia, and Switzerland all shared Group E last time around. There, Brazil tied the Swiss, 1-1, and beat Serbia, 2-0. Brazil is heavily favored to win Group G at –235, and at –1100, Brazil is favored to emerge from the group stage altogether.
Brazil will look to get Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, and Raphinha going. This team currently sits as best in the world, so with Switzerland (14th), Serbia (25th), and Cameroon (37th) trailing behind, Brazil has a great chance of moving on yet again and challenging for it all.
England +600

England was looking good in the semi-finals in 2018 but conceded an extra-time goal that ended their run. The English finished second in Group G with six points behind the team that went on to beat them in the consolation third-place match, Belgium. They dispatched Tunisia, 2-1, and dismantled Panama, 6-1, before dropping their final match to Belgium, 0-1. They went on to get by Columbia 1-1 (4-3 in penalties) and Sweden, 2-0 before falling to eventual runner-up Croatia, 2-1.
Hollywood couldn’t have given England a more hostile group for 2022, geopolitically. Along with the English in Group B are the United States, Iran, and Ukraine/Scotland/Wales. Get ready for an afternoon kick on Black Friday for England v USA.
The English believe that they can win it all in 2022, though they will need to be near-perfect. After falling to Italy via penalties in the Euro 2020 last summer, England will be able to rely on one of the world’s best in Harry Kane. England should have no issues with Iran or whoever comes out of the playoff. The Three Lions and the Americans have faced off just twice before in World Cup Play: once to a massive tie in 2010 and once to an American miracle victory in 1950.
France +600
With the third-best odds to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, France looks to be the first back-to-back champions since the 1962 Brazil squad. The French cruised through Group C in 2018, finishing with seven points. Once they got into the knockout stage, they dispatched Argentina 4-3, Uraguay 2-0, and Belgium 1-0, before winning the Final over Croatia, 4-2.
For 2022, France is in Group D with Denmark, Tunisia, and UAE/Australia/Peru. Last time around, France drew with Denmark and beat both Australia and Peru in the group stage. There are plenty of familiar faces in this group stage and it’s not looking like France will stumble at any point.
The French are a very solid squad, led by the 2018 FIFA Best Young Player recipient, Kylian Mbappe. With him, France has the 2018 Bronze Ball and Silver Boot winner, Antoine Griezmann. This pair scored four goals each in the last World Cup and both are looking to unseat Kane for the Golden Boot.
Spain +850
The 2010 World Cup Champions have yet to get back to the level of play that earned them their first-ever title but is looking to end the disappointment in 2022. After failing to get out of the group stage in 2014, Spain won Group B in 2018, only to get bounced in the first knock-out round by host Russia.
It’s not going to be easy for the Spanish as they drew Group E alongside Germany, Japan, and Costa Rica/New Zealand. There could be an argument that this is this year’s Group of Death. As two of the past three champions reside in the group, the sides that emerge will have earned it.

Barcelona star Ferran Torres will be the one the Spanish rely upon to get the scoring going. The second match of the group stage for Spain will likely be the deciding factor as they’ll take on Germany. The Spanish do not have an established history of great World Cup runs but they’ll look to build upon their semi-finals appearance in the Euro 2020.
Argentina +1000
Finally, the fifth-best odds to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup is Argentina. In 2018, Argentina was expected to run through Group D but barely made it through with four points. They beat Nigeria, drew with Iceland, and got trounced by Croatia.
This time around, Argentina is situated in Group C with Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland. Argentina is fresh off winning the Copa America and is looking to build off of the fact that their only two losses in 2018 were to the final two teams, France and Croatia.
This will be the final shot for the legend, Lionel Messi, to secure the elusive World Cup. They came so close in 2014 but allowed a late goal and fell to Germany. Of all of the accolades in his career, he still lacks a World Cup. Could this be the year? In his last ride, can Argentina deliver?
