The Cleveland Browns may have found an exciting young weapon in second-round pick Denzel Boston. The rookie wide receiver has already made an immediate impact through the first two games of his NFL career, racking up seven receptions for 154 yards coupled with two touchdowns.

Who is Denzel Boston?
Boston was selected 39th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft after a very productive four-year career with the Washington Huskies. The 6-foot-4 wideout led the Huskies in receiving in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, finishing his college season with 62 receptions for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Browns rookie is now showing early signs that his frame, as well as his contested-catching ability, can transfer over to the NFL. After catching a 46-yard touchdown in his debut against Jacksonville, Boston then followed it up by hauling in five catches for 95 yards and a 55-yard touchdown against Tampa Bay.
His Early Impact With the Browns
It didn’t take long for Boston to make his presence known in the Browns’ offense. Through his first two games, the rookie has already shown an ability to make big plays and provide the Browns with another threat in the passing game. Boston’s production has been especially impressive considering he is still adjusting to the speed and physicality of the NFL.

With Boston and Concepcion arguably taking on the wide receiver one and wide receiver two roles, the Browns could look to ship Jerry Jeudy elsewhere before the deadline. Jeudy has put up a measly two catches for 26 yards through two games, and with a potential out in the contract at the end of this 2026-2027 season, the Browns could look to trade Jeudy before the Week 10 trade deadline.
