Through two weeks of the season, there have been some surprise results. There are teams with preseason expectations that are 0-2, and teams people don’t quite believe in that are sitting at 2-0, and there’s buying or selling on every NFL team that sits at 0-2 or 2-0 through the first couple of weeks of the 2026 season.

Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)

The Chiefs look back to being the Chiefs of old. At 2-0 with wins over the Colts and Broncos, the Chiefs have looked to have found a new offensive groove that had left them stagnant for the past couple of seasons. Signing Kenneth Walker III in the offseason has proved to be one of the best moves, as Walker has 369 scrimmage yards through the first two games of the season. He has undoubtedly been one of the best running backs Patrick Mahomes has played with.

Buffalo Bills (2-0)

The Bills are rolling right now with Josh Allen looking like he’s gunning for his second NFL MVP award. The Bills knocked off the Texans on the road in week one, a team that has not notoriously given Allen and the Bills fits the last couple of seasons. Then, in a short week, the Bills destroy an NFC contender in the Detroit Lions. The Bills currently look like the best team in the NFL.

San Francisco 49ers (2-0)

The 49ers put the NFL world on notice by dominating the lauded “super team” LA Rams in the first week of the season in Australia. They beat a lowly Dolphins team to go to 2-0, but the 49ers have engineered 11 scoring drives in two games already this season.

Seattle Seahawks (2-0)

The reigning Super Bowl Champions have not missed a beat despite losing their starting quarterback, Sam Darnold, on the first drive of the first game of the season.

Houston Texans (0-2)

Yes, the Texans have been disappointing to start the season, but they are still a team to buy in on. The first two games of the season for the Texans have been against two of the league’s best quarterbacks and offenses in Josh Allen and the Bills, and Joe Burrow and the Bengals. The Texans still have the makings of the best defense in the league, and after starting 0-3 last year, Houston went on a run and finished the season 12-5.

Cincinnati Bengals (2-0)

Joe Burrow put a lot of pressure and high expectations on Cincinnati this season with his desire to return to the Super Bowl. The big offseason addition, Dexter Lawrence, has helped solidify the defense, and the early returns have been good. The Bengals have been out of the playoffs for three straight seasons and look on track to return this year.

Minnesota Vikings (2-0)

Despite Kyler Murray‘s injury, the Vikings have found a way to remain formidable as a team, thanks to their defense, coached by Brian Flores.

Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)

The Eagles have already started this season with injuries to the offensive line and Saquon Barkley. Philly has okay wins against the Commanders and Titans, two 0-2 teams, but Philly will need to prove that their revamped offense is the real deal against stiffer competition.

Las Vegas Raiders (2-0)

It’s a good story that new head coach Klint Kubiak has found a way for Las Vegas to pull off two consecutive wins, but it still seems like the Raiders are a ways away from being legit.

Miami Dolphins (0-2)

The Dolphins are in the front seat to have the top pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Los Angeles Chargers (0-2)

The Chargers may currently be the most disappointing team in the NFL. In the third season of the pairing with Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert, the Chargers have gotten off to a rough start, losing to both the Cardinals and the Raiders. Offensive wizard Mike McDaniel’s early returns have not been great, as the offense looks disjointed early in the season.
