5. WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
Smith-Njigba, also known as JSN, has been one of the best players in the NFL in 2025. Smith-Njigba currently leads the NFL in receiving yards with 1,336 yards in only 12 games played so far. In 12 games, he has broken the Seahawks franchise record for most receiving yards in a season.
JSN is also the top-rated receiver according to Pro Football Focus. He is projected to finish with over 1,700 yards, which will give him one of the best receiving seasons in NFL history.

4. Defensive End Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns
Myles Garrett has been as dominant as anybody in the NFL this year, and he is doing so on a 3-9 Browns team. Garrett has 19 sacks on the season in just 12 games, and he is on pace to break the single-season sack record of 22.5, which was set by Michael Strahan in 2001.
By himself, Garrett has more sacks than three other NFL teams. He has 15 sacks in his last six games, which is an NFL record in a six-game span. Garett had a five-sack game against the Patriots in October and also had a four-sack game against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in November.
Despite the Browns’ offense not offering much help to the defense, Garrett has found a way to be as dominant as ever.
3. QB Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Prescott is playing the best football of his career, despite the Cowboys’ 6-5-1 record not accurately reflecting it. The Cowboys’ signal callers have been lights out for the most part of the season and are a big reason the Cowboys are still relevant this season. The defense had been one of the worst in the league until the trade deadline, and Prescott had been doing all he could on offense to keep Dallas afloat.
His connection with newcomer George Pickens is among the most lethal in the league in just year one of playing together, and Prescott continues his years-long connection with CeeDee Lamb.
Prescott showed out on Thanksgiving Day in front of the whole country when the Cowboys upset Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. 52.7 million viewers got to watch Prescott pass for 320 yards and two touchdowns. If Dallas’ record were slightly better, Prescott would be in the MVP conversation.
Dak Prescott 2025 NFL Ranks
3,261 passing yards (2nd)
25 touchdowns (T-2nd)
2. QB Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
Stafford, in his 17th NFL season, has been playing like the best quarterback in the NFL. He currently has the Rams in the mix for the top seed in the NFC and has them as the current betting favorites to win the Super Bowl.
Stafford has 32 passing touchdowns to four interceptions, but it isn’t just the stats about Stafford; it’s about how he plays. The top pick in the 2009 NFL Draft wows fans and opposing players who get to see him through no-look passes for touchdowns or large gains.
Stafford has already won a Super Bowl in LA and could win a second one this year to go along with an MVP award.
Matthew Stafford 2025 NFL Ranks:
111.7 Passer Rating (2nd)
PFF Grade 92.4 (1st)
3,073 passing yards (4th)
32 passing touchdowns (1st)

1. QB Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Patriots’ fans are arguably one of the most spoiled fan bases in the NFL. After going from the greatest quarterback of all time in Tom Brady, they land Drake Maye, who has been one of he best quarterbacks in the league this season and is the odds-on favorite to win NFL MVP after week 13.
Maye has led the Patriots to an 11-2 record in just his second season, and his downfield passing prowess, along with the ability to make plays with his legs, has made him must-see TV in 2025.
The 2024 NFL Draft class at quarterback could be historic, with other players like Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, and Bo Nix also drafted with Maye, but Maye could prove himself to be the best of them all.
The AFC already features quarterbacks Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes, and Maye will immediately join that conversation if he wins MVP in just his second season.
Drake Maye 2025 NFL Ranks:
111.9 passer rating (1st)
3,412 passing yards (1st)
23 passing touchdowns (4th)
