5 Jets Players You Should Draft in Fantasy Football

It’s that time of year again, not only are NFL teams gearing up for the 2023 campaign but fans are as well. Specifically, fans who are in Fantasy Football leagues getting ready for their drafts.

No one wants to be that fan enduring a harsh punishment because they finished last in their Fantasy Football League. To help you with that, let’s look at five Jets players you should draft in Fantasy Football.

5 Jets Players You Should Draft in Fantasy Football

Garrett Wilson

The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year is primed for another big season with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback. Garrett Wilson, with four different quarterbacks last season, implemented himself as one of the best young receivers in football. Seeing what Garrett Wilson can do as an encore is going to be exciting and something you will want in your lineup.

Last season in 17 games, Wilson had 83 receptions and 1,103 receiving yards. His 1,103 receiving yards put him at 14th in the NFL among all receivers and led the Jets in both receptions and receiving yards. He was the first Jets receiver since Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker in 2015 to surpass 1,000 receiving yards.

In games that Zach Wilson didn’t start in, Wilson’s numbers are significantly different in a positive way. He averaged over 17 fantasy points per game and 82 receiving yards in those games. That is good enough to solidify himself as a top-10 Fantasy wide receiver without Zach Wilson at quarterback. Expect his numbers to climb even more with Rodgers at quarterback.

Breece Hall

Coming off of a shortened but exciting rookie year due to injury, Breece Hall is an explosive name to look at on the draft board. Although his role to start the season may be limited as the Jets work him back into a groove following his torn ACL, expect him to put up numbers as the season goes on.

He was on his way to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year last season before the knee injury he suffered in Week  7. Despite only playing in seven games last season, Hall led the Jets in many different categories such as rushing yards (463), rushing yards per game (66.1), and yards per carry (5.8).

These stats also show how much the run game was impacted in a negative way after Hall went down. His 97.3 scrimmage yards per game was the second-highest for a rookie running back only behind Bo Jackson‘s total in 1987. Look for Hall paired up with Dalvin Cook to have another big season being fully healthy. His production as a pass catcher should also see an increase with Rodgers at quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers

This is one of the more obvious choices when you look at this current roster and potential players to draft in Fantasy. Aaron Rodgers, coming off of a down year by his standards, would still be one of the best seasons from a Jets quarterback ever. He is now rejuvenated and has more talent around him to turn back into the Fantasy quarterback that he was during his MVP years.

Last season, despite not having his best year statistically, Rodgers still ranked top 10 in touchdown passes (26) and was 11th in passing yards (3,695). Part of these struggles was he lacked a true number-one receiver and a game-changer. He had one in Davante Adams before his exit to the Las Vegas Raiders.

That will change this season as he will have one of the best young receivers in the game in Garrett Wilson. The connection has already formed during camp and they will elevate each other’s play this year. Expect Rodgers to have a bounce-back season in Fantasy with his new supporting cast around him.

Tyler Conklin

Tyler Conklin is entering the second year of a three-year contract that he signed last offseason. He showed flashes in his first year with the Jets after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings. Conklin like many others on the Jets offense was affected at times by poor quarterback play last season.

Conklin last season despite some inconsistent moments still finished as one of the best pass catchers on the team. He was the leading tight end last season and finished second on the team in receptions (58) and receiving yards (552). Coming up this season expect Nathaniel Hackett and Rodgers to incorporate the tight ends a lot more. Throughout Training Camp, we’ve seen a connection between Rodgers and Conklin. This connection has been especially noticeable in the red zone. Conklin has the potential to make big plays in the red zone, creating more opportunities for consistent weeks of good Fantasy production.

Dalvin Cook

Dalvin Cook is the newest Jet and one of the final pieces the Jets needed to add to their roster. After spending the last six years with the Vikings, he now starts a new journey in The Big Apple with Breece Hall in the Jets backfield.

Cook, for the last four years, has been one of the best and most reliable Fantasy running backs for your lineup. He has made the Pro Bowl the last four years in a row and has had four straight years of over 1,000 rushing yards. Also, in the last four seasons he has put up the fifth most points per game among running backs in Fantasy Football with 18.5 points per game. Don’t expect that same production as he is getting older and will share carries with Breece Hall. However, he can still slot in as a solid flex option or the top option off your bench for this upcoming Fantasy Football season.
