The 2026 BIG3 basketball rosters have been set for all eight teams heading into the league’s 9th season. For some teams, there have been shakeups in hopes of capturing gold, but for others, running it back just might be the key to continued success. New faces link up with established stars in the league as it’s promised to be the best season to date. The 9th Wonder in the Summer tips off on June 20th on CBS.
BIG3 Basketball Rosters
Boston Ball Hogs
Jeremy Pargo – Captain
Garlon Green – Co-Captain
Deshawn Stephens – Co-Captain
Ray NixonÂ
Quincy Miller
Coach: Gary Payton
The Boston Ball Hogs were a tiebreaker away from making their first-ever playoff appearance in 2025, finishing 4-4 on the season. They’re looking to build off that success but will have to do so with almost an entirely new squad. Boston is still coached by the legendary Gary Payton but will have a new captain in Jeremy Pargo, who is one of the best scorers in BIG3 history.
Championship pedigree was brought to the team in the form of Garlon Green, as he won the BIG3 title in 2024 with Bivouac. The Ball Hogs also bring in former champion Quincy Miller, along with Ray Nixon, who led the league in three-point percentage in 2024. The only returning player for Boston is Deshawn Stephens, who led the BIG3 in field-goal percentage at 69% in 2025.
Chicago Triplets
Montrezl Harrell – Captain
Brandon Moss – Co-Captain
Amir Johnson – Co-Captain
Wesley Johnson
Leandro Barbosa
Coach: Julius “Dr. J” ErvingÂ
With Dr J, Julius Erving back at the helm, the Chicago Triplets are on the hunt to finish what they started last season. They made it to the BIG3 Championship game in 2025 but lost in a classic to Miami 305.
Chicago brings back Montrezl Harrell, this time as the captain. He averaged 17.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in 2025, earning himself the BIG3 Rookie of the Year award. The Triplets also bring back Amir Johnson, who shone in last year’s semifinal game with 13 points to propel his team to the big game.
The Triplets brought in some major reinforcements to try and get over the hump in the form of Brandon Moss, Leandro Barbosa (absent for Season 8) and this year’s first overall pick Wesley Johnson, all of whom can take over a game in an instant. This collection of stars has the Triplets in a great spot to make it back to the big game in 2026 and even win it this time around.
Dallas Power
Greg Monroe – Captain
Cam Smith – Co-Capatin
Glen Rice Jr. – Co-Captain
TJ Cline
Elijah Stewart
Coach: Nancy Lieberman
The Dallas Power made the playoffs last year as the No. 2 seed with a 6-2 record, but also lost a heartbreaker to Miami in the semifinal. They bring back some of their star power from last year with Greg Monroe, Glen Rice Jr. and TJ Cline but also added the talents of Cam Smith and Elijah Stewart.
Smith adds a combo of shooting, rebounding and blocking, while Stewart was a star for the Enemies when they won a championship in 2023. And of course, Nancy Lieberman’s style of coaching always makes the Power a tough team to play against, as she won another Coach of the Year award in 2025.
Detroit Amps
Joe Johnson – Captain
Nasir Core – Co-Captain
Corey Brewer – Co-Captain
Charles Garcia
Dante GreenÂ
Coach: Rick Mahorn
This team is led on court by none other than Iso Joe Johnson. When healthy and available, Joe is the best player in league history and there’s really no debate. He’s a three-time BIG3 MVP and won a championship while setting scoring records, including being the BIG3’s all-time leading scorer.
With the players added to the Detroit Amps this offseason, he could be hunting for a second title. Johnson lost his running mate in Jeremy Pargo but gained Nasir Core and Corey Brewer as co-captains. Both players are some of the best two-way players in the game.
Detroit also brought in Dante Green with their first-round pick and Charles Garcia with their second-round pick. Both are 6’11” -plus, with Green being a big part of the old Killer 3s teams, as he’s the fifth all-time leading scorer in the BIG3.
DMV Trilogy
Earl Clark – Captain
James Johnson – Co-Captain
Willie Reed – Co-Captain
Jordan McCrae
Jaylen Johnson
Coach: Stephen Jackson
Speaking of two-way players, Earl Clark’s name definitely belongs among the best. He joined Trilogy in 2022 and has been with the franchise since, where he won gold.
The captain is joined by a trio of BIG3 rookies in James Johnson, Jordan McCrae and Willie Reed. They might be newcomers, but they’re some of the most talented to come over to the league with their toughness and scoring ability. Trilogy also drafted some championship experience with Jaylen Johnson, who won it all with Bivouac in 2024.
DMV Trilogy is the all-time winningest franchise in league history, winning three championships, and they blend a mix of league veterans and rookies to try and make it four.
Houston Rig Hands
Derrick Favors – Captain
Jonathon Simmons – Co-Captain
Kevin Murphy – Co-Captain
Adam Drexler
Isaiah AustinÂ
Coach: Calvin Murphy
Of the players to join the BIG3 this season, Derrick Favors might be the most notable of the bunch. In fact, he’s one of the most notable names to play in the league’s history. Now he’s thrust into the captaincy role in year one, and he has a nice supporting cast around him.
Jonathon Simmons will serve as a Co-Captain, who finished with the 3rd-most total points in the league last season with 151. Kevin Murphy will serve as the other co-captain, who had one of the best starts in BIG3 history, winning Rookie of the Year in 2021 and MVP in 2022.
The roster is rounded out by former BIG3 first-overall pick and league champion Isaiah Austin and the returning Adam Drexler, the son of none other than Clyde Drexler. The Houston Rig Hands finished with a league-worst 1-7 record in 2025 but with four new star-level players joining the team, they have a chance to go from worst to first.
LA Riot
Dwight Howard – Captain
Kosta Koufos – Co-Captain
Jordan Crawford – Co-Captain
Billy Preston
Chris Allen
Coach: Nick Young
In 2025, 18-year NBA veteran and now Hall of Famer Dwight Howard got the basketball world’s attention when he announced that he would play for the BIG3 in what would be his last season playing pro ball. Fast forward to 2026, and Howard announced that he would be returning to the BIG3 to play for the LA Riot once again, surprising many.
Howard has unfinished business after losing by 12 in the semifinal last season to the Triplets. The Riot brought back known playoff riser Jordan Crawford, reuniting one of the best duos in the league. They also brought in two rookies in Kosta Koufas and Billy Preston, potentially making this team the best rebounding team in the league. And they added playmaker Chris Allen, who had a good playoff run last season.
Miami 305
Mario Chalmers – Captain
Michael Beasley – Co-Captain
Reggie Evans – Co-Captain
Lance Stephenson
Sean Williams
Coach: Michael Cooper
After winning the BIG3 Championship in 2025, the Miami 305 are running it back with the same five individuals that brought home the ultimate prize. It was a special team led by the chaotic duo of the reigning back-to-back MVP winner, Michael Beasley, and Lance Stephenson. Beasley, Reggie Evans, Mario Chalmers and Sean Williams were also on the same team for 3’s Company when they went to the championship game in 2024.
This team has a rapport that is hard to replicate, making them the sure favorites to repeat as champions, as they were to start last season. It also helps when you bring back head coach Michael Cooper, who’s been the man behind the success in recent years.
