2024 BIG3 Basketball: Top Week 3 Performances

While there weren’t as many high-end performances as the first two weeks, there was more great play spread out between all the teams in week three than previously. Add in the fact that all but two games were within seven points or fewer, and Saturday was an exciting week of games. The Enemies and Bivouac remain undefeated at 3-0 while the Killer 3’s and Trilogy surprisingly haven’t won a game yet, as both are 0-3. There was a lot to take away from this week in the BIG3 as season seven heats up.

BIG3 Basketball: Top Week 3 Performances

Devin Ebanks (Aliens)

Week 3 stats: 22 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist

Devin Ebanks followed up a solid performance last week with the best of any player in week three. He led the team with 22 points to go with five rebounds and one assist. The Aliens fell below .500 at 1-2 but are still a pretty solid team and Ebanks’ play so far this year is one reason why.

Michael Beasley (3’s Company)

Week 3 stats: 22 points, 3 rebounds

Last week, Michael Beasley scored 22 points in a loss. This week, he scored 22 points again but this time in a win to get 3’s Company over .500 at 2-1. He also started the season with 15 points in week one. With his performances, Beasley could be an early candidate for the MVP if he keeps this up.

Jeremy Pargo (Triplets)

Week 3 stats: 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists

No Joe Johnson? No problem. While Iso Joe was out this week with an illness, his right-hand man Jeremy Pargo stepped up and put up yet another 20 points as he did last week in big win. He was also just three rebounds and three assists away from a triple-double. He hit three deep balls, one of them was a four-pointer. That gives him a league-leading three four-pointers as he hit two last week as well.

Jannero Pargo (Triplets)

Week 3 stats: 20 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist

Jeremy wasn’t the only Pargo brother to put up a great performance as Jannero Pargo also put up 20 points for the Triplets. That means the two of them combined for 40 of the team’s 51 points in a dominating 51-30 victory over Power. Someone had to step up beside Jeremy with Johnson out and Jannero did that and much more. The Triplets showed that they’re a dangerous team with a dangerous roster beyond Iso Joe and that bodes well for their championship hopes.

Kevin Murphy (Tri-State)

Week 3 stats: 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists

With Kevin Murphy‘s performance so far in 2024, Tri-State has a chance to make the playoffs for the first time since 2021. He put up 18 points last week and followed that up with a 19 point-performance this week. His resume speaks for itself as he won Rookie of the Year in 2021 and followed that up with an MVP season in 2022 after leading the league in scoring. Murphy along with Jason Richardson is quickly becoming one of the best duos in the league and will be feared if they continue to dominate like they have been.

Chris Johnson (Ghost Ballers)

Week 3 stats: 17 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block

Chris Johnson had a little bit of a down game last week by only scoring seven points but bounced back in a big way with 17 points and seven rebounds this week. He also added on the defensive end with a block. This week was Mike Taylor‘s turn to have a down game in terms of scoring but despite the up-and-down play of the duo through three weeks, the Ghost Ballers are 2-1 to start the season. That shows you each one is capable of taking over any given week and if both are on at the same time, look out.

Other Notable Performances:

Jason Richardson (Tri-State): 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block
Jordan Crawford (Enemies): 16 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block
Earl Clark (Trilogy): 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal
