Week 11 NFL DFS is here. Time flies when you’re having fun. There are five games with implied totals over 48 points. The usual suspects are in great spots— Lamar Jackson, Christian McCaffrey, Michael Thomas, etc.— and we want to jam them into our line-ups. I’m digging deep, looking for pivots and value away from the chalk. The following plays are for your consideration when building your rosters.

Week 11 NFL DFS: Under the Radar Plays
Quarterback: Kyle Allen $5,300
Allen, while unspectacular, has shown improvement and maturity evidenced in last week’s snowstorm at Lambeau Field marching his team down the field for a potential game-tying touchdown. The Atlanta Falcons ride into Carolina on an emotional high. While most of the DFS industry agreed that the Falcons were a defense that could be attacked through the air, they were able to pressure and stymie Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints all day long. We should view the Falcons week ten performance as an outlier. I think they’re primed for a let-down and get back to the ways that have us targeting their defense. I love this game stack in tournaments and I also think Allen is viable in cash games if you build your roster with a low priced quarterback.
Week ten pick: Mitchell Trubisky, 19.72 fantasy points. Outcome: Solid
Running Back: Carlos Hyde $4,600
Value seekers will be all over Brian Hill $4,800 and J.D. McKissic, $4,600 due to injuries to the starting running backs of the Falcons and Detroit Lions. However, the Baltimore Ravens have proven vulnerable to the run game. Hyde continues to get about 20 carries per game and all the goal-line work. The Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks will get a ton of ownership. Hyde could be a nice pivot from the chalky passing games. One other name to watch is Derrius Guice $4,700. He’ll work behind Adrian Peterson but, will be used as the change of pace back. If he gets a total of 15 touches he could be worth a flier in your MME builds (mass multi-entry).
Week ten pick: Ronald Jones II, 23.60 fantasy points. Outcome: Boom!
Wide Receiver: Dede Westbrook $4,500
Westbrook is healthy, Nick Foles takes back the reins of the offense and the Jaguars are a road underdog to the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts, yes, will be fired up after a humiliating loss to the Miami Dolphins in week ten. I expect them to bring the heat to Foles and gear up to contain Leonard Fournette. With that being said, I really like Foles to use Westbrook to ease back into the flow of the passing game. Additionally, Westbrook is at that price point when we look for value at the third wide receiver spot. I also like Danny Amendola, for the Lions, to continue to get targets from Matthew Stafford‘s back-up Jeff Driskel. The biggest difference between the two players is Westbrook’s ability to turn any play into a touchdown.
Week ten pick: Taylor Gabriel, 13.80 fantasy points. Outcome: Solid
Tight End: Irv Smith Jr. $3,100
Smith continues to see an increased role in the passing game week after week. He’s averaging eight fantasy points over the past couple of weeks. He’s due to see the endzone and I think he wins the battle of rookie tight ends in this match-up against Noah Fant and the Denver Broncos. However, take note, teams have targeted the tight end position against the Minnesota Vikings second-most in the league. Although the Vikings have yet let in a touchdown, it could be Fant’s week. With that being said, Kyle Rudolph‘s two-touchdown performance against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night will keep DFS players from rostering Smith Jr. A price tag of $3,100 would return solid value on a double-digit performance.
Week ten pick: Mike Gesicki, 4.80 fantasy points. Outcome: Bust!
Defense: Washington Redskins $2,800
Surprisingly, or not so surprisingly, the Redskins are a home favorite against the New York Jets. The Las Vegas implied total is a paltry 38 points. Additionally, the Redskins have been difficult to beat the past five weeks. They have averaged 17 points allowed to their opponents, with the highest total of 24 points allowed when they were in Buffalo. They have also averaged one interception per week and have shown the ability to get to the quarterback. The downfall of the Redskins has been their putrid offense which has kept their defense on the field more than normal. However, they host a team that is clearly on their heels. Le’Veon Bell is dealing with injuries and Sam Darnold is not immune to turning the ball over. Conversely, the Redskins are starting Dwayne Haskins which will naturally draw DFS players to the Jets defense for $3,100. If you need that extra $400 dollars the Redskins defense can get you there. The team with the fewest turnovers will win this game.
Week ten pick: Tenessee Titans, 11.00 fantasy points. Outcome: Boom!
