BIG3 Championship

Top Performers in the 2024 BIG3 Championship

Another great season in the BIG3 has come and gone but not before a tremendous championship game to close things out between Bivouac and 3’s Company. It was one of the most anticipated games in league history, with the MVP and MVP runner-up going head-to-head on the biggest stage of them all. Bivouac entered the playoffs as the one seed and came out as champions, defeating 3’s Company in a close game 50-47 to win their first BIG3 Championship. This game had tremendous performances all around the court that contributed to one of the best games in league history. Season seven is a wrap on what was a fun 10 weeks of basketball and next summer already can’t come soon enough.

Top Performers in the 2024 BIG3 Championship

Michael Beasley (3’s Company)

BIG3 Championship stats: 28 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block

It was almost a foregone conclusion that Michael Beasley would put up another monster game and he did. He put up yet another double-double as he had 28 points and 12 rebounds. This is following a double-double last week in the Semifinal game when he had an amazing 32 points and 16 rebounds. Beasley was getting good looks all game and put shots through with ease. In fact, he’s been doing that pretty much all season as he averaged 21.3 points per game and took home the BIG3 MVP. His great efforts in the championship game though weren’t enough for 3’s Company to overcome multiple good performances by Bivouac. Beasley put on a show and has cemented himself as a superstar in this league.

Gerald Green (Bivouac)

BIG3 Championship stats: 18 points, 1 rebound

Not many had Gerald Green leading the way for Bivouac in the BIG3 Championship game but here he is. He had 18 points but what was more impressive is how he got it. All of his 18 points came off of three-pointers, going six-for-six from deep off of the bench. Green was automatic from downtown and put up one of the best performances in league championship history. Because of that, he was awarded MVP of the game.

Garlon Green (Bivouac)

BIG3 Championship stats: 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block

Gerald’s brother, Garlon Green, had himself a good performance in the BIG3 Championship as well. He stuffed the stat sheet as he’s done all season, finishing with 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, and added to the defensive end with a steal and block. Every one of Garlon’s plays was big but most notably he came up with a HUGE rebound and block that altered the game. He also solidified his performance with a tough game-winning two-point shot off the glass. Green doing it all was always a valuable asset to Bivouac’s success and you saw why in this game.

Corey Brewer (Bivouac)

BIG3 Championship stats: 10 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists, 3 steals, 1 block

There’s nothing more to say about Corey Brewer, he can do it all. Many thought he should’ve won the MVP over Beasley with his two-way play on display all season long. It was on display yet again in the BIG3 Championship. Although he didn’t score what we’re accustomed to seeing, he spread his play throughout the stat sheet both on offense and defense. With his 10 points, he added six rebounds to go along with three steals and a block. His defensive efforts proved massive as he got a steal off of Beasley which led to the game-winning basket by Green. Brewer didn’t win MVP but games like this proved why he brought home the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year award.
