NFL games to watch: Cowboys vs Eagles

Three NFL Games to Watch in Week 7

As the NFL season nears the halfway point, there are only two unbeaten teams left and all divisions are still competitive. However, week seven of the season features a few intriguing matchups that will most definitely have playoff implications.

Three NFL Games to Watch in Week 7

Texans @ Colts

One could make a strong argument that the Houston Texans should be 6-0. Their two losses were by a combined eight points. That being said, the Indianapolis Colts have also let two games slip away from their reach. The one thing these two teams have in common? They have both beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

This game will feature more offense than defense. Deshaun Watson will look to his receiving core and the Colts will look to continue running the ball with their strong offensive line. Regardless of the outcome, this game will have a direct impact on the AFC South. The winner of this matchup will have the clear advantage in winning the division.

Ravens @ Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks come into this game riding a three-game win streak, and the Baltimore Ravens are on a two-game win streak. The Ravens sit atop the AFC North by two games, while Seattle is one game back in the NFC West. If Lamar Jackson leads his team to victory in this game, the Ravens may run away with the division.

In six games, Seattle’s defense has given up 20+ points five times. That being said, Lamar Jackson could have a major day in the passing and running game. However, Baltimore’s defense will also have to be ready to play. Russell Wilson is having an MVP type season and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Expect this game to come down to the final possession. Seattle really needs this win (especially if the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Washington Redskins this week).

Eagles @ Cowboys

The Sunday Night Football matchup will feature an NFC East battle. One of these two teams will win the division and this game could very well determine that race. Both teams come into the game at 3-3, however, the Dallas Cowboys started 3-0 and now seem to be fading rapidly.

This will be a matchup that will require both quarterbacks to have a stellar game. If Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott fail to get into a rhythm, expect the Philadelphia Eagles‘ defense to put much pressure on the two and then it will be up to Carson Wentz to lead his Eagles to victory.

If the Dallas Cowboys lose this game, Jason Garrett could officially be on the hot seat. Jerry Jones will not like seeing his team go from 3-0 to 3-4. The Eagles do not face near as much pressure as Dallas is feeling at the moment.

It’s only week 7, but the playoff teams are starting to be sorted out.

By the end of Sunday night, many divisions will start taking shape of which team will be the team to beat. Can the Texans take hold of the AFC South? Can the Ravens begin to run away with the AFC North? Will Philadelphia take control of the NFC East? All of these questions will be answered at the end of week seven.
