Oh, we are getting close! It is the time of the NBA season when you can start to really see into the future of who is a contender and who is a pretender. What do you think happens? Does an underdog climb to the top of the mountain and ultimately dethrone Golden State, or are you putting your money on a team like Boston who always seems just a step away from the promised land. So, whether you’re using money out of your wallet or a nifty Casino Bonus, here are three predictions you should familiarize yourself with.
3 Predictions Heading Into the NBA Playoffs
1. Golden State repeats as the Western Conference Champion
Contrary to what the beginning of the season looked like, the Warriors are really coming into their own lately. They are currently the sixth seed in the West and are showing signs of life, specifically out of shooting guard Klay Thompson. He has been on an absolute TEAR since 2/6. Since then, he has played 15 games and has had 20+ points in all but four of them.
In four of these games, he’s eclipsed 25 points and is showing no signs of rust, which some speculated we would see. Let’s not forget Steph Curry, the lifeblood of this team who is aging as gracefully as his three-point shot! Watch out West, Golden State is still here!
2. Nikola Jokic will be the MVP
There’s no debate that the best statistical player in the league is Jokic, who is still averaging a Triple Double. Larry Bird, Bill Russell, and Wilt Chamberlain are the only three players ever to achieve three straight MVP awards, but we are closing in on Jokic being the fourth. He’s currently averaging 24.6 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 10 assists per game.
His team currently sits as the #1 seed, currently five games ahead of second place Sacramento and it is in large part due to the point center. We are well beyond the halfway point of the season and his team is winning, he’s their best player, and he’s achieving statistics rivaling Russell Westbrook’s and Oscar Robertson. Maybe start paying attention if you haven’t already!
3. The Milwaukee Bucks will win the Finals
There’s something to be said about leadership and service time in the NBA. It’s very easy to fall in love with flashy, young talent but those teams rarely can string together a Finals run. With veterans like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, and Khris Middleton there is a clear leadership advantage this team has over most in the East and is rivaled mostly by Golden State, who I believe matches up against them in the Finals.
This is definitely one you should take to your sportsbook, whether it’s with the money burning a hole in your pocket, or a fancy Casino Bonus, it is almost a guaranteed hit! Bucks vs. Warriors and the Bucks win in six games!
