The Philadelphia Phillies have had an up-and-down season and have, at times, played down to their competition, while other times, like last night, they look good after beating a strong Los Angeles Dodgers team. The Phillies still stand strong, though, at second place in the National League East Division. While Philadelphia is not having their best year like in 2022, they still led the league in All-Stars selected with six, and they have some of the top league leaders in various categories.
The Phillies do not currently have anyone leading the league in a specific stat by a large margin, but they do have one players right up there in other stats. With that being said, we take a look at where some of the Phillies players rank at the top of the leaderboards.Â
Phillies Team Stat Leaders
Home Runs – Kyle Schwarber (33)
Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber is one home run behind Houston Astros’ designated hitter Yordan Alvarez for the most home runs in the league (34). This should be a surprise to absolutely nobody, as Schwarber had a career-high of 56 home runs last season, and he made it to the 2026 Home Run Derby finals despite losing.
Schwarber is having a very productive season with a batting average of .248, 33 home runs, and 61 Runs Batted In. Schwarber also played in the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and was 0-2 with a strikeout, and no Phillie really played well in the All-Star Game besides pitcher Jesus Luzardo, who pitched one inning and had one strikeout while allowing no hits or no runs. Schwarber has a strong chance to end the season leading the league in home runs for the third time in his career.Â
Strikeouts (151); Wins (12) – Cristopher Sanchez
Anyone who has paid close attention to Phillies baseball would know that Cristopher Sanchez is having the best season of his career. Sanchez ranks third in the league with strikeouts by a pitcher with 151 and is tied for first in wins with 12 wins with Boston Red Sox pitcher Sonny Gray, Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Aaron Ashby and Cincinnati Reds pitcher Chase Burns.
Sanchez has faced some adversity lately, but he is still very dominant with a 12-4 record, and his ERA is still below 3, sitting at 2.71 with 151 strikeouts. Sanchez pitched one full inning in the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and allowed three hits, three runs, and two walks, but he also had two strikeouts. Sanchez will look to get out of his slump here in the second half of the season, and there is no doubt that he will get back on track and become the dominant pitcher that he has been all season long.Â
Jhoan Duran – Saves (24)
Phillies closer Jhoan Duran ranks fifth in the league with 24 saves, and he has been by far the Phillies’ best closer. Duran has been an excellent closer in one of the worst bullpens in baseball. Duran is just 1-3, but his ERA is exceptionally good at just 1.32. Duran also pitched in the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game for 0.2 innings, allowing one hit. Duran has solidified himself as a reliable option to close games and has been the anchor to a bullpen that has had their fair share of struggles. And he will look to continue his dominance now that we are in the second half of the season.
