National League World Series Favorites

The 2018 MLB season kicked off this past week. There is no clear cut favorite to represent the National League in the fall classic. The Dodgers look ready for a repeat, and maybe this is the year the Nationals win a playoff series. Here are the National League World Series favorites.

National League World Series Favorites

3 Washington Nationals

The Nationals have been a playoff team the past couple of years, but they haven’t been able to finish the job. The front end of their rotation is great, but the backend is shaky with Tanner Roark and A.J. Cole. Their bullpen has been their weakest point, but it should improve in 2018. Bryce Harper is in a contract year, and that offense is elite, look out MLB.

2 Chicago Cubs

The Cubs rotation is one of the best in baseball. They lost Jake Arrieta this offseason, but filled the void by signing Yu Darvish. Their offense is also tremendous led by Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. Kyle Schwarber is primed for a breakout 2018 as he is in tremendous shape this season.

1 Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers were a complete team last season in winning the NL Pennant. They are bringing back pretty much the same team in 2018. They will benefit from a full season of slugging lefty Cody Bellinger and 2017 breakout star Chris Taylor. Their rotation is deep, and their bullpen is back ended by one of the top closers in the game in Kenley Jansen.
