On this Week 6 NFL slate, we have pivotal matchups that could determine whether teams can go on a run or continue to start slowly, potentially kissing their playoff hopes goodbye. From Super Bowl contenders to hopeful playoff berth achievers, here are five NFL teams who need a win in Week 6.
Five NFL Teams That Need A Win in Week 6
5. Cleveland Browns
vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Browns are in one of the best matchups of the week as they take on the Baltimore Ravens in a divisional showdown. It’s a game the Browns must try to win on Sunday, as they currently sit in last place in the AFC North despite being 3-2 on the season. There is also a good chance the Ravens could be without Lamar Jackson for a second consecutive game. With Jackson out, the Browns need to capitalize on that opportunity and win their first of two matchups against the Ravens.
4. Houston Texans
vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Texans finally got their first win of the season by defeating the lowly Tennessee Titans. Now they go to London to face their division rival, the Jaguars. Many people believe Houston can turn their season around, but the Texans have a lot of ground to make up at 1-4, so essentially every game for the foreseeable future for them is a must-win until they can even up their record.
Head Coach Demeco Ryans has taken over play-calling duties for the Texans’ defense as the Texans look to make a run.

3. Philadelphia Eagles
vs. Carolina Panthers
Things aren’t looking great in Philadelphia right now. After starting 2-0, the Eagles are currently on a three-game losing streak and will now take on the Carolina Panthers. Jalen Hurts was recently diagnosed with a superficial blood clot and could miss time. If the Eagles can’t get a win over Carolina, the Eagles will look to punt on the season and start training off valuable pieces such as Saquon Barkley.
2. Dallas Cowboys
vs. Green Bay Packers
The Cowboys need to start finding some consistency quickly this season if they want to win the division or earn a playoff berth. After looking like a juggernaut against the Texans two weeks ago, they lost to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Thursday night. The Cowboys have a chance to position themselves for a run at the NFC East with a win over the Packers.
It is also a statement game for the Cowboys. There is a lot of concern about the Cowboys’ defense, to the point that there was a players-only meeting. First-year defensive coordinator Christian Parker needs to find his footing quickly with the Cowboys’ defense, as the offense has the necessary firepower to keep them in games. They will absolutely need to limit big plays in the air against a Packers offense that lacks the explosiveness on the ground. So, knowing that, the Cowboys will need an effective game plan to limit explosive plays through the air.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer gave a public vote of confidence to Parker that he can get things going in the right direction with the Cowboys’ defense.
1. Los Angeles Rams
vs. Arizona Cardinals
It’s time for the Rams to start stringing along some wins. The Rams sit at 2-3 and have yet to win back-to-back games. The Rams were billed as a once-in-a-lifetime super team and were the overwhelming Super Bowl favorites but have not yet shown the consistency of a true contender, even though their flashes have been as high as any team in the league.
After a tough overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Rams get a get-right game against the Arizona Cardinals. It is a must-win for the Rams, or they risk missing the playoffs entirely.
