During the Fox NFL Sunday show, Jay Glazer broke the story of Odell Beckham begging other teams to trade for him. Whispers had been going around that Beckham wanted out of Cleveland which he quickly denied. Nevertheless, John Dorsey and the front office of the Cleveland Browns will need to have discussions to figure out their next move. If the decision is to put Beckham on the trade block, here are the best suitors for a Beckham trade.

New Orleans Saints
The Saints are explosive offensively, but Drew Brees can use some help at wide receiver. The Saints’ leaders in receptions are Michael Thomas, Jared Cook, and Alvin Kamara. Ted Ginn is right after Kamara, but his contract is up after this season. Beckham would be a significant upgrade from Ginn and would give the city even more excitement by playing for the home team.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams make sense here because it would give the Rams a ton of insurance policies at the position. We saw how the Kansas City Chiefs were able to load up on receivers and not lose production when one goes down. Throw an elite-level talent like Beckham in the mix and Jared Goff would have no choice but to be successful. The Rams will have a projected $25.3 million in cap space next season so acquiring Beckham shouldn’t be a problem.
Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson is a miracle worker on the field. He relies on Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf to catch passes and is still in the MVP conversation. Beckham can solidify this receiving corps. While Lockett would have more chemistry with Wilson, Beckham can be the clear number one receiver. Seahawks general manager John Schneider will kick the tires on the possibility.
Dallas Cowboys
A lot of turmoil in the building, but a lot of talent on the roster. The Cowboys still need to work out the contract of Dak Prescott, but they have a projected $88.9 million in cap space available. Prescott won’t get the $40 million per year he’s reportedly looking for, but a deal will get done. If another team lands Amari Cooper, Beckham would be a good replacement. Not only that, he’d get to play the New York Giants twice a year.
Cleveland Browns
This may be a long shot, but the Browns aren’t completely out of the running. Beckham is under contract through 2024 and his frustrations stem from the coaching staff not being able to get him the ball. That may not be an issue next season as Freddie Kitchens is expected to be out. A new coach and a new culture can be the breath of fresh air Beckham needs to stay in Cleveland with his best friend Jarvis Landry.
Where the Plane Lands
His head may be in the clouds, but ultimately I believe Beckham stays in Cleveland as long as a reputable coach is in place. If Kitchens remains the head coach, then all bets are off. Beckham, like all athletes, wants to win, but also contribute. Being a decoy isn’t an acceptable role for a talent like Beckham. He wants to get back to the elite level production he experienced early in his career. Dorsey will need to figure out what personality is more important to the success of the team.
