Jon grew up in Chicago and is a lifelong Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan, and he is an alumnus of the University of Illinois and the University of Kansas. He is a songwriter and a musician by trade but loves sports and welcomes the opportunity to contribute his writing talents to an additional field (pun intended!). Jon and his family lived in Kansas City for ten years and he loves the Chiefs and the Royals as his "second teams". Jon currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two daughters. His kids, incidentally, have Cub-related names: Addison is named for the street where Wrigley Field is, and Carrie is named after legendary broadcaster Harry Caray.
