Washed up? Patrick Mahomes just snubbed Tom Brady, again. The Chiefs QB added another impressive milestone to his résumé following Kansas City’s Week 3 win over the Miami Dolphins.
The Chiefs are off to a perfect 3-0 start in the 2026 season after cruising past Miami 24-10. Despite some struggles on the ground, Mahomes and Co. kept the offense rolling when it mattered, and Kansas City has already racked up half of its 2025 win total just three weeks into the new campaign.

The two-time NFL MVP just added another Brady-sized notch to his résumé. With the Chiefs’ Week 3 win over Miami, Mahomes moved past Brady for the third-most regular-season wins by a quarterback through his first 10 seasons, reaching 98.
Only Russell Wilson (104) and Peyton Manning (105) are ahead of him on the list. And considering Mahomes still has plenty of football left in those first 10 seasons, he’s already knocking on the door of the top spot.
The three-time Super Bowl champion picked up No. 98 at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. Mahomes was once again in command, completing 20 of 24 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns while keeping the Chiefs’ perfect 3-0 start intact.

And that wasn’t the only Brady milestone Mahomes chased down in Miami. With the win, he tied Brady for the most victories through their first 150 career starts, with both quarterbacks sitting at 115 wins.
There’s still one major piece of the Brady résumé that Mahomes has a long way to catch: longevity. Brady played an absurd 23 seasons, meaning Mahomes would have to suit up through the 2039 season to match that mark.
But Mahomes doesn’t seem interested in simply following Brady’s blueprint. He’s carving out his own lane—and at this pace, the NFL could have another all-time quarterback debate brewing.

Mahomes and Chiefs Keep Stacking Wins Despite Sloppy Football
It’s a phrase you hear all the time, but actually living by it is a different ball game. The NFL is a results-driven league where style points don’t count—and the Chiefs offered a textbook example of that in Week 3.
Sunday’s win over the Miami Dolphins was anything but clean. In fact, it was one of those sloppy, almost-blowout wins where the final score looked much better than the performance. All three phases of the game had their share of miscues, making things far more difficult than they needed to be.
The biggest surprise? The Chiefs’ ground game, which had been cooking through the first two weeks, suddenly went quiet. Kansas City finished with 25 team carries for just 88 yards, averaging 3.5 yards per attempt. Kenneth Walker III did his part with 18 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown, but this was nowhere near the explosive rushing attack Chiefs fans had gotten used to early in the season.
Still, a win is a win in the NFL. Despite the offensive struggles and overall sloppiness, Kansas City remains perfect at 3-0 and is already off to the kind of start it needed after missing the playoffs last season—the first time Mahomes had failed to reach the postseason as a starting quarterback.
And Mahomes has another piece of history within striking distance. The 31-year-old can still chase down Wilson and Manning for the most wins by a quarterback through his first 10 seasons. Staying healthy, though, will be crucial.
Mahomes knows all too well how quickly an NFL season can flip. He suffered a season-ending injury in 2025 after tearing the ACL and LCL in his left knee. Now, with the Chiefs sitting at 3-0, the mission is simple: keep stacking wins and keep the history book moving.
