It seems like just yesterday we looked at potential players to represent the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, but now we recap who actually made the Phillies’ All-Star roster. This year, the Phillies had six players in the All-Star game, which was the most in the entire league.
In terms of the Phillies’ schedule, they will resume back to action on Thursday after the All-Star break, where they will host the New York Mets in a three-game series, followed by a powerhouse Los Angeles Dodgers team. The Phillies also had two All-Stars participate in the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby contest, with one going to the final round of the derby and falling just short. Six All-Stars made the team, and we now take a look at who made the roster and highlight their accomplishments from the first half of the season.Â
Phillies All-StarsÂ
Cristopher Sanchez
The first Phillie to make the All-Star game is potentially the most obvious, left-handed pitcher Cristopher Sanchez, made the team who currently sits with an 11-4 win-loss record, 144 strikeouts, and an Earned Run Average of 2.62. Sanchez is having the best year of his career and got to show that off in the All-Star game.Â
Brandon Marsh
The next Phillie to make it is Brandon Marsh. Marsh has been by far the Phillies’ hottest hitter at the plate all season long, while the Phillies as a team struggled to hit. Despite some recent struggles from Marsh, he still has a batting average of .301 and is well above average. Marsh also has 15 home runs and 46 Runs Batted In, solidifying himself as another Phillie sent to the All-Star game.Â
Kyle Schwarber
Kyle Schwarber was then selected as a replacement for Shohei Ohtani from the Los Angeles Dodgers due to knee irritation and inflammation. Schwarber has a .254 batting average while leading the league in home runs with 32 and 59 Runs Batted In. In other news, he made it to the final round of the MLB Home Run Derby despite falling short.Â
Bryce Harper
Bryce Harper, who was also in the Home Run Derby, made the All-Star game. Harper showed consistency all season with a .260 batting average, 20 home runs, and 57 Runs Batted In.Â
Jesus Luzardo
As a late selection, Jesus Luzardo, another Phillies pitcher, was taken as a replacement after Jacob Misiorowski, Paul Skenes, and Max Meyer due to pitching rotation conflicts. Luzardo is 8-4 with an Earned Run Average of 3.51.
Jhoan Duran
The final Phillie to make it was relief pitcher, Jhoan Duran. Duran has been incredible for the Phillies with an Earned Run Average of just 1.38 despite a 1-3 record. Duran has been the backbone of a struggling Phillies bullpen, making him a reliable safety net to pitch for the National League team in the All- Star team.Â
In other news, star pitcher Zach Wheeler turned down the replacement role in the All-Star game because he felt disrespected and did not want to be treated as the fifth option. Wheeler is dominating with a 10-1 win-loss record and an Earned Run Average of 2.13.Â
Do you think the Phillies had the right All-Stars selected?Â
