Three underdogs who can pull off upsets on the NFL Week 13 slate.
Three Underdogs To Watch In NFL Week 13
Dallas Cowboys
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) @ Dallas Cowboys (+3.5)
The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a big underdog win against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 12 and now get a chance to do it again on Thanksgiving in front of the whole country. The Cowboys will host the Chiefs, and Dallas has more than a great chance to pull off the upset against KC.
Dallas dug itself out of a 21-0 hole last week behind big games from George Pickens and Dak Prescott. Dallas has the necessary firepower to shoot back at KC in case of a shootout on Thanksgiving. Pickens, along with CeeDee Lamb and Prescott playing like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now, could be enough to put away a Chiefs team that has been inconsistent at best in 2025.
The Chiefs did secure a quality win against the Colts at home in Week 12, but traveling on the road in a short week could be an advantage for Dallas.
Houston Texans
Houston Texans (+4.5) @ Indianapolis Colts (-4.5)
The Texans are in the midst of a three-game winning streak and have quickly pulled themselves out of a hole they were in to begin the season. Houston sits at 6-5 while Indy is at 8-3. The first few weeks of the season, it looked like Indy would run off with the AFC South crown. However, the Texans can find themselves in a position to get back to the top of the division with a win over Indy. The pressure is on the Colts in this matchup because the Texans are continuing to surge.
C.J. Stroud has missed the last couple of games for the Texans with a concussion, but backup Davis Mills has filled in well. However, it’s been Houston’s defense that has terrorized opposing offenses all season, most notably Josh Allen and the Bills last week. The Texans are allowing the second fewest points per game at 16.5, slightly behind the Rams, who allow 16.3.
Daniel Jones has reverted to some of his old habits in the last two games for the Colts, and the Texans have more than enough on defense to make things very difficult on this Colts offense.
Cleveland Browns
San Francisco 49ers (-5.5) @ Cleveland Browns (+5.5)
The Browns secured an underdog win on the road against the Raiders in Week 12 and will now return home to take on the 49ers. It is Shedeur Sanders‘ second start and his first start in front of the Browns’ home crowd, who will be excited to watch the young quarterback try to build off his first start.
SF will be on the road after a short week, having played on Monday night in week 12. There will also be severe weather for the game with snow and wind on the forecast, which could play into the Browns’ hands.
Defensively, the Browns have a terrifying defense line that will make things tough on Brock Purdy, who is coming off a three-interception performance against the Panthers. Against the Raiders, the Browns sacked Geno Smith ten times, and Myles Garrett has a league-leading 18 sacks. Garrett could ruin a 49ers offensive game plan in terrible weather, which could be enough for an upset win.
