NFC East win totals

Predicting Win Totals For Each NFC East Team in 2025-26

The NFC East hasn’t had a repeat division champion since the Philadelphia Eagles won four consecutive titles from 2001 to 2004, which currently is the longest streak without a consecutive division champion. The Eagles might be the ones to snap that streak, as they are the favorites to win the division. The Washington Commanders have the best chance to dethrone Philadelphia and keep the streak alive, but it’ll be a tall task. The Dallas Cowboys won the division the year before last, but it doesn’t seem they can do it again this season, much to the dismay of Texan bettors. As the season moves forward, let’s take a look at potential win totals for each NFC East team in 2025-26.

NFC East Win Totals For This Season

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles came into the season as favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl for the third consecutive year. That’s because they have been one of, if not the most well-rounded team in the NFL in each of those seasons.

They started off the season with a win against their biggest rival, the Cowboys. After the win, it was clear that they could make another Super Bowl this season. Jalen Hurts is among the favorites to win the MVP, and he still gets to throw to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Not to mention, Saquon Barkley is in the backfield, who is coming off a 2,000-yard season in his first year with Philadelphia.

The Eagles are also loaded on defense, being led by Jalen Carter up front, along with Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJeann on the back end. The unit doesn’t look particularly strong so far but we’re only a few games in.

They had/have a hefty schedule to start the first few weeks of the season, then it goes up and down the rest of the way. Coming into 2025, the Eagles have the fifth-hardest schedule in the league according to opponents’ win totals last season, and they face 11 playoff teams from last season as well. Accomplishing 14 wins two years in a row seems unlikely, but if anyone can do it, it’s the Eagles. While 14 wins might not be the case this season, they will go over their 11.5 over/under projected win total.

Win total: 12

Washington Commanders

The Commanders had a coming-out party last season, as they finished with 12 wins and went to the NFC Championship game. That’s because of the fantastic rookie year of quarterback Jayden Daniels. He took home the Rookie of the Year award with 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns through the air while rushing for 891 yards and six touchdowns.

After the performance of C.J. Stroud last season, there’s some wondering if Daniels will have a similar sophomore slump after being crowned as one of the best after one year. Daniels is explosive, and he has the tools to duplicate last season. He still has Terry McLaurin, and they added Deebo Samuel to this offense. The running back position might be one of the biggest questions on the team, and everyone is questioning the defense as well after their loss to the Green Bay Packers in week 2.

The Commanders rank top 10 in having one of the toughest schedules in the league, but they are still penciled in by almost everyone as a clear playoff team.

Win total: 11

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys went 7-10 last season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020. They were viewed to have a similar year this year, and MAYBE could fight to be a seven seed, but that went out the window when they traded Micah Parsons to the Packers right before the season.

The offense might be alright this season if Dak Prescott can live up to his contract. He has CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens to throw to, but the defense is the main worry in Dallas. That unit was one of the worst in the NFL last season and downgraded with the subtraction of Parsons, as we’ve seen so far. Add that in with a schedule among the top-five hardest and it might be a repeat of last year, maybe even worse.

Win total: 7

New York Giants

The New York Giants are the worst team in the NFC East, and their performance has confirmed that so far. Russell Wilson mostly hasn’t looked good at all. They also had no running game and gave up over 430 total yards.

Ahead of the season, everyone was wondering when Brian Daboll would call upon Jaxson Dart to take over under center, but that question has intensified even more after the first few weeks. Now, Dart is named the starter moving forward. Giants finished with just three wins last season, warming the seat of Daboll even more. While they could get a few more wins this season, it’ll be a rough year given that they have the toughest strength of schedule of anyone in the league.

Win total: 5
