The Green Bay Packers have been spoiled with great receiver talent over the years and really ever since they have been established. There are so many career receiving leaders that are in the conversation to be the best in Packers’ history. In fact, all five of these players are. In this piece, we’ll be talking about the top five receiving leaders in Packers history and it starts with a fan favorite.

5. Jordy Nelson (7,848 Yards)
With arguably the best connection with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson became one of the best targets and overall receivers in Packers history. From 2008 to 2017, Nelson put up big numbers. He posted the fifth-most receiving yards in team history with 7,848 to go along with 69 touchdowns. He and Rodgers had become one of the best quarterback/wide receiver duos in recent memory. Nelson will one day be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame and forever be a fan favorite.
4. Don Hutson (7,991 Yards)
Don Hutson is one of the best wide receivers in Packers history. In 116 games from 1935 to 1945, Hutson caught 488 passes for a total of 7,991 yards and a team-record 99 touchdowns. He came up with great routes and his speed along with great ability is what made him outperform defenders. He led the NFL in receiving seven times and even has the Packers indoor practice facility named after him. This just goes to show you how explosive and skillful Hutson was.
3. Sterling Sharpe (8,134 Yards)
Many consider Sterling Sharpe as the best receiver in franchise history. He honestly should already be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame right now. Sharpe led the league in receptions three times and in 1992, he led the league in yards, touchdowns, and receptions. In his short seven-year career, he has an amazing 8,134 yards and 65 touchdowns. If he was able to continue dominating this league, he could be one of the best in the history of the league.
2. James Loften (9,565 Yards)
James Loften is second all-time on the Packers receiving yards list with 9,565. He was a speedy deep threat during his time from 1978 to 1986 on the Packers before getting traded to the Oakland Raiders. He made the pro bowl seven times and is in the Packers Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
1. Donald Driver (10,137 Yards)
Donald Driver was a seventh-round pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. We all know how that turned out. He’s first in all-time Packers receiving yards with 10,137, the first and only Packers receiver to have over 10,000 yards receiving. Driver has had seven 1,000 yard seasons and has a super bowl ring. For over a decade, Driver shined on and off the field and fans fell in love with it. He’s still talked about as one of the most dominant players in Packers history.
Green and Gold
There were so many other great Packers that didn’t make the list like Antonio Freeman or Boyd Dowler but they’ve had a tremendous career for the Packers. It’s an honor for many to wear the green and gold and perform in front of sell-out crowds every game. The rich history and tradition in Green Bay is like no other.
