5 NFL Teams Who Will Go Over Their Win Total
Atlanta Falcons, Over/Under Win Toal 7.5
The Atlanta Falcons finished the 2024 season with an 8-9 record, which would be good enough to go over their projected win total if they finished with the same record in 2025. It will be the second season under head coach Raheem Morris, and the Falcons will be expected to make a push for the playoffs this season after falling short last year.
Atlanta finished with eight wins despite inconsistent quarterback play from Kirk Cousins, who was signed to a multi-year deal to be the starter. His play got him benched for Michael Penix, who the Flacons took eight overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Penix started the last three games of the season and will go into this season as the unquestioned starter. The Falcons offense is expected to be one of the best this season as it features guys like Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts to go along with a solid offensive line.
Atlanta’s division, the NFC South, isn’t exactly a world-beater, so not only should the Falcons go over, but they should also win their division.
Los Angeles Rams, Over/Under Win Total 9.5
Under Sean McVay, the LA Rams have won at least ten games in six of his eight seasons as the coach. They currently have a streak of two straight seasons with ten wins. McVay will be entering his ninth year with the Rams, and the team is looking to push for a Super Bowl this season. Any win total of 9.5 and below for the Rams is an automatic bet for the over.
The Rams have one of the best quarterback coach pairings in the league with Matthew Stafford and McVay. They have stars all over their offense, including guys like Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua, and they’ve also added star veterans like Davante Adams. Expect the Rams to go over their 9.5-win total and have a good shot at winning the Super Bowl this season as well.
The Rams face a first-place schedule, so they will see teams such as the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, and Baltimore Ravens.
Las Vegas Raiders, Over/Under Win Total 6.5
The Las Vegas Raiders cleaned house in the offseason, getting rid of their coach, Antonio Pierce, and general manager, Tom Telesco. They hired Pete Caroll as the new head coach, and Caroll has promised to turn things around for a Raiders franchise that has been among the bottom of the NFL despite having blue-chip talent on its roster. Caroll, who parted ways with the Seattle Seahawks after 14 seasons after the 2023 season, had never won less than seven games during his tenure with the team. At 73 years old and the Raiders likely being his last coaching stop, Caroll will make sure the Raiders can instantly compete among the NFL’s best.
The Raiders traded for Geno Smith, whom Caroll coached in Seattle, and they also hold the sixth overall pick in the 2025 draft. With Caroll and Smith’s addition to go along with whomever they add in the draft and the fact the Raiders will have a last-place schedule, the over on the 6.5 wins is not farfetched.
Las Vegas’s notable opponents are the New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and New York Giants. All five of those teams are picking in the top five of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Pittsburgh Steelers, Over/Under Win Total 8.5
Simply put, Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in his 18 years as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is a Tomlin bet. Regardless of who is on the roster, Tomlin seems to be finding a way to pull his teams out of the NFL purgatory. Since the NFL has gone to 17 games, nine gets you a winning season. Pittsburgh may not be an annual Super Bowl contender like they once were.
Washington Commanders, Over/Under Win Total 9.5
The Washington Commanders lit the NFL world on fire last season after going from four wins in 2023 to 12 wins and an NFC Championship game appearance in 2024. This all came behind the dynamic play of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, and because of their success last season, the Commanders will be a trendy preseason Super Bowl pick.
Washington could take a step back from their historic season last year, which could mean going from 12 wins to 11 or 10 wins. Even if you think Washington hit their absolute peak last season, they will still be one of the best teams in the NFC. They have added players like Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel and returned veterans such as Bobby Wagner to join Pro Bowl players like Terry McLaurin.
