2025 BIG3 Basketball: Top Performances in Week 3

Despite a couple of blowout games, this was the best week for individual performances so far this BIG3 season as five players put up 20 points or more. After week 3, there are no more undefeated teams left and five teams stand at 2-1. There’s also still one team left that hasn’t won a game yet. Teams will now get a much-needed rest to reset themselves for a pivital week 5 as the league heads into a bye next week. There are a lot of hungry players looking to prove that they can still play this game at a high level and this week we saw that.

BIG3 Basketball Week 3 Top Performances

Montrezl Harrell (Chicago Triplets)

Week 3 stats: 26 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

The best performance of the week goes to the BIG3 rookie, Montrezl Harrell. He’s been a consistent player for the Chicago Triplets so far through three weeks. This game by far topped his previous two as he was the league’s leading scorer with 26 points and played some great defense as well, recording a block in every game so far in 2025. Harrell has led his team to a 2-1 record so far this season and if he keeps playing like this, he might be the favorite to win the BIG3 Rookie of the Year.

Corey Brewer (Houston Rig Hands)

Week 3 stats: 23 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assists, 1 steal

Corey Brewer bounced back in a big way this week as he put up a season-high 23 points. He’s been up and down so far to start the season as he had a double-double with two steals and two blocks in week 1 but came back the next week with only seven points, three rebounds, and no steals or blocks. Now he rebounds with a great performance again this week, although not quiet enough the bring home the victory for the Houston Rig Hands. It’s not a classic Brewer performance without some type of defensive stat on the board as he added in a steal as well.

Glen Rice Jr.

Week 3 stats: 22 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals

Two near double-doubles to start the season and now 22 points in week 3 for Glen Rice Jr. makes him an early BIG3 MVP candidate. He can score at all will but can also rebound and play some good defense as well. He had a hand in holding the Detroit Amps to just 30 points this week, which is the lowest amount by a team so far this season. The Dallas Power had three guys score in double-digits, showing the chemistry he’s built with his teammates. With the blowout win, Power knocked off the only undefeated team left in the BIG3.

Michael Beasley

Week 3 stats: 22 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block

The Miami 305 is must-see TV with the duo of Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson on the floor. The game was in control from the beginning as Miami 305 dominated the Boston Ball Hogs 50-31. Beasley tallied his second 20-point performance of the BIG3 season, scoring 22 this week and also hit his second four pointer of the season, this time to seal the victory for his team. His ability to shoot and attack the rim is what makes Beasley almost unarguable.

Mike Taylor (DMV Trilogy)

Week 3 stats: 20 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block

Making his BIG3 season debut, Mike Taylor didn’t waste any time in making some noise as he scored 20 points and hit four three-pointers. The DMV Trilogy signed him to replace Isaiah Briscoe, possibly for the season. Taylor is a three-time BIG3 All-Star and won Trash Talker of the Year. It already looks like he and Franklin Session will be a formidable duo in this league.

Jonathon Simmons

Week 3 stats: 19 points, 1 assist

Boston was no match for Miami’s fire power this week and the box score showed that. Jonathon Simmons went off for 19 points but that was just about it for the Ball Hogs. He got no help this week with the next leading scorer for the team being Chris Johnson with six points. Simmons has now dropped 19, 18, and 19 points in the first three weeks, becoming a consistent threat for Boston in the BIG3.
