2025 BIG3 Basketball: Top Performances in Week 2

Just like that, we’re through two weeks of the BIG3 season. After an exciting opening weekend, the momentum that the league came in with carried over to week 2. There was one blowout this week but aside from that, the games were close and came down to the wire. There’s a lot to take away from this slate of games with great team and player performances across the BIG3.

BIG3 Basketball Week 2 Top Performances

Joe Johnson (Detroit Amps)

Week 2 stats: 29 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists

Atop of the leaderboard for two straight weeks to start the season is none other than Joe Johnson. He recorded a double-double in the opening week with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Johnson followed that up with a 29-point performance this week and even hit a four-pointer. He went out with an injury when the Detroit Amps were down 47-46 but they pulled out the victory with a near double-double and game-winner from Shakur Juiston. Iso Joe very well could’ve had another 30-point performance if he stayed in but more important than that is his health, praying that it’s nothing serious. His back-to-back performances just prove once again that he’s still the man to beat in the BIG3.

Jordan Crawford (LA Riot)

Week 2 stats: 28 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

Jordan Crawford literally did it all this week. He put up a very impressive 28 points with two rebounds and an assist while adding in a block and steal. He even hit a four-pointer, showing his range from deep. Crawford did it all on both ends of the court just like last week and even improved upon his 19-point performance. His team as a whole had a down performance but Crawford did everything in his power to give the LA Riot a 50-45 winner and show everyone when he gets hot, he’s among the best.

Glen Rice Jr. (Dallas Power)

Week 2 stats: 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal

Throughout his whole BIG3 career, Glen Rice Jr. has shown that he’s one of the best pure scorers in the BIG3, and through two weeks, he’s proved it. Rice Jr. had a near double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds and did it on the defensive side as well. This after scoring 23 points with eight rebounds in week 1. He didn’t get much help outside of Greg Monroe, but Rice Jr. put up a great performance in the loss and put the Dallas Power in a position to win before the Riot’s comeback.

Lance Stephenson (Miami 305)

Week 2 stats: 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal

Lance Stephenson put his controversy behind him from last week and had an all-around nice game in week 2. Despite a close loss for Miami 305, he stepped up his game with 18 points and seven rebounds. Stephenson and Michael Beasley are looking like they formed a nice duo together, which will cause a lot of problems for their opponents. With his first two performances so far in his BIG3 career, it looks like Stephenson is a perfect fit for this team and the BIG3.

Jonathon Simmons (Boston Ball Hogs)

Week 2 stats: 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks

Much like last week, Jonathon Simmons produced all over the stat sheet. After scoring 19 points and grabbing six rebounds in week 1, Simmons came back in week 2 to put up 18 points and six rebounds. He’s already up to six steals this season as he followed up his three steals last week with another three steals this week. Simmons also added in two blocks, doing it all on the defensive end as well for the Boston Ball Hogs. He’s established himself as one of the best two-way players in the BIG3 and if he keeps this up, he will be vying for the Defensive Player of the Year award.
