2025 BIG3 Playoffs: Top Semifinal Performances

What a start to the BIG3 Playoffs! There were big names and big performances through both semifinal games today, including a trio of 20-point games and two double-doubles. In game 1, the Chicago Triplets beat the Los Angeles Riot 50-38, while in game 2, Miami 305 beat the Dallas Power 50-47. Now the BIG3 Championship game is set with Triplets taking on Miami. The opening weekend of the playoffs delivered, and it’s just a preview of what will take place next Sunday.

Top Performances in the BIG3 Playoff Semifinals

Lance Stephenson (Miami 305)

Semifinal stats: 23 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals

In the first half, Lance Stephenson went down with what looked like an ankle injury. He stayed in the game and put up the best performance of the semifinals, recording a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds while also hitting three from downtown. This was the best performance in his rookie season, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Stephenson also had big help from the second half of the best duo in the BIG3, Michael Beasley. Miami was the favorite heading into the season, and now they have a chance to complete the journey.

Michael Beasley (Miami 305)

Semifinal stats: 22 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks

Beasley had an unbelievable playoff run in 2024. He put up a double-double in both games last season, having 32 and 16 in the semifinals and then 28 and 12 in the BIG3 Championship game. He’s off to another great start in the 2025 playoffs, scoring another double-double as he had 22 points with 12 rebounds. He also contributed on defense with a steal and three blocks.

He kept pace with what Stephenson was doing and helped put up the best performance by a duo not only this season but in BIG3 history. This will be the second consecutive year Beasley has been to the championship game, and he looks to cap it off this time around with a title.

Glen Rice Jr. (Dallas Power)

Semifinal stats: 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block

Glen Rice Jr. didn’t have the best of shooting performances, but he still ended up with 20 points and hit four three-pointers, leading the Power. He had a couple of chances to end it, but came up short. He fought hard for his 20 points, showing that he is one of the best scorers in the game. He averaged 19 points per game, which was good for third in the BIG3. Rice Jr. also finished third with 7.1 rebounds per game and first in assists with 4.0 per game. He also showed up on the defensive side as he had 1.1 steals per game, which was near the top in the league.

Jordan Crawford (LA Riot)

Semifinal stats: 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal

For the third consecutive year, Jordan Crawford has led his team in points in each semifinal game, when he had 17 points last year and 27 points in 2023. This year, he scored a game-high 16 points and came out of the gates hot to keep the Riot in it in the first half. His performance wasn’t enough to lead the Riot to a victory, but he keeps making the most out of his playoff games. Crawford had an all-around great season, finishing sixth in total points scored with 135 (16.9 per game), third in total assists with 23 (2.9 per game), fifth in total blocks with six, and was tops in three-pointers made with 11.

Amir Johnson (Chicago Triplets)

Semifinal stats: 13 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 blocks

Amir Johnson was all over the court today. He led the Triplets with 13 points and came up big on the boards with seven rebounds. Johnson had a big day on the defensive side of the ball as well, tallying a steal and three big blocks. Johnson had help from everyone on the court, including both Chris Allen and Montrezl Harrell, scoring 11 each. It was a complete team effort, and Johnson’s performance helped the Triplets clinch their spot in the BIG3 Championship game.
