The quest for Super Bowl LVI starts in three days when the Dallas Cowboys take on the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 2021 will be one of the most anticipated seasons in a while because every stadium in the league will allow full capacity, a full reversal from 2020. There are suddenly a handful of teams that have a real possibility to win the Super Bowl this season. The two teams that faced off in Super Bowl LV are heavily favored to meet once again this season. It’s almost time to kick off yet another great season of football and we can’t wait for it to get underway.
Five Best Odds To Win Super Bowl LVI
Chiefs (+500)
There are many reasons why the Kansas City Chiefs are favorites yet again to win Super Bowl LVI. A big reason for that is because of MVP favorite Patrick Mahomes is taking snaps under center. This offense has been explosive for a while now and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon with Mahomes throwing to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Let’s not forget that they have a young and explosive running back in Clyde Edwards-Helaire. After getting embarrassed in the Super Bowl last season, Andy Reid will make sure every area of this team will be ready to make a significant run for their second championship in three years.
Buccaneers (+600)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers acquired quarterback Tom Brady in 2020 via free agency. After spending 20 years with New England, Brady wanted a fresh slate with a new team. He found Tampa Bay as the perfect match of talent and coaching to try and win a Super Bowl. That’s exactly what happened as Brady won his seventh championship after taking down the mighty Chiefs. With the talent all over on offense like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin paired with an all-time great quarterback, special things were bound to happen. As much talent as the offense had, the defense was the talk of the team and the biggest factor in winning.
The Buccaneers will try and go back-to-back as they somehow bring back all 22 starters on offense and defense from last season. This offseason, Brady and this offense were able to have minicamp and training camp so there’s a reason to believe this team will be more explosive than last season.
Bills (+1200)
If you’re looking for a team to challenge the Chiefs in the AFC, look no further than the Buffalo Bills. The offensive explosion starts with Josh Allen, who has vastly improved his entire game. He has one of the top connections in the league with wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who caught 1,513 yards in his first season in Buffalo. The defense is also one of the best in the league, led by cornerback Tre’Davious White. Having both the offense and defense click at the same time is the recipe for success. This season, many believe the Bills have what it takes to go all the way and win Super Bowl LVI.
Packers (+1200)
Tied with the Bills for the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl is the Green Bay Packers. This is no surprise given this team is always in the title picture. The Packers went 13-3 for the second consecutive year but it’s ended in heartbreak in both years, losing in the NFC Championship game twice. In 2020, they had the best offense in the league. Not only did the best quarterback-wide receiver duo shine with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, but running back Aaron Jones showcased himself as a premiere back in the NFL. This season, some project this offense to be even better than it was last season.
Don’t overlook this Packers defense with the Smiths upfront and Jaire Alexander along with Adrian Amos in the defensive backfield. All of a sudden, this team could be one of the best defensive units in the league if they live up to their potential. The Packers have had multiple chances to get to the big game over the past several years but haven’t been able to get over the hump. In what’s projected to be a very tough money issue in 2022, their time to strike for a championship is now.
49ers (+1400)
In 2019, the San Fransisco 49ers made it to the Super Bowl and were one play away from winning it. With a manageable offense to go along with a devastating defense, this 49ers team was a force to be reckoned with. They were poised to go back to the Super Bowl in 2020 before they suffered devastating injury’s throughout the season and ended with a record of 6-10.
This season, no one has forgotten about the 49ers as they find themselves right back in the thick of the Super Bowl picture. With the defense healthy and Jimmy Garoppolo motivated by Trey Lance, who might find himself as the starter sooner rather than later, this team has a great chance to do what they did two years ago.
