Best Odds To Win Super Bowl LV

The highly anticipated 2020 NFL season is just a week away. This season will feel a lot different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, teams and players will be more hungry than ever to fight for the ultimate prize and that is the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl LV. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV and those two teams look like Super Bowl betting favorites to meet once again. Some other interesting teams have climbed that ladder in pursuit of the Lombardi Trophy. As we get ready for the NFL season, let’s see what teams have to best odds to win Super Bowl LV.

Best Odds To Win Super Bowl LV

Chiefs (+650)

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Chiefs are tops for the best odds to win Super Bowl LV. After giving Patrick Mahomes a ten-year deal worth up to potentially over $500M, they are primed to win back-to-back Lombardi Trophies. The Chiefs will return over 20 starters from last year’s super bowl team. Running back Damien Williams has opted out of the 2020 season, but they feel comfortable with first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the backfield in the meantime. This offense is poised to be the best in the league and the defense got better as the year went on last season. The Chiefs very well could be on top yet again and potentially for years to come.

Ravens (+650)

There’s reason to believe that the Baltimore Ravens can challenge the Chiefs in the AFC. After a disappointing way to end the season in 2019-20, the Ravens are out looking for blood. Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson admitted that he and the team might’ve looked passed the Tennessee Titans for that potential meeting against the Chiefs. Now, the Ravens know that they have to push harder than ever to reach the prize. With a versatile quarterback and good weapons on offense, they feel like they can be equal to Kansas City. The defense has always been exceptional in Baltimore and this year is no different. Even with the loss of Earl Thomas, they’ve got great pieces to hold down the fort like newly-acquired defensive end Calais Campbell. The Ravens and the Chiefs will be competing for tops in the AFC for a long time to come.

49ers (+1000)

The San Fransisco 49ers faced the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV but lost in heartbreaking fashion. This season, they’re one of the favorites to not only make it but win it all. The 49ers had the best defense in the NFL last season by suffocating teams with their defensive line of Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, and DeForest Buckner. Even with Buckner gone, they have Dee Ford to step in and play more and depth that spreads all over the line.

Quarterback Jimmy Garropolo was just good enough to keep this offense going. He had great weapons to throw to in the form of newly-paid tight end George Kittle and wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Emmanuel Sanders. This season, they’re dealing with a few injuries at the receiver position that are unknown at this point. Sanders is gone but they drafted Brandon Aiyuk which will help greatly in this offense. This team will once again be dangerous in a packed NFC.

Saints (+1100)

The past couple of years have not been too kind to the New Orleans Saints. Yes, they’ve had great regular seasons but they’ve had heart breakers in the playoffs. In 2018, the Saints lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional game on a catch and run for a touchdown by Stefon Diggs with no time left in what’s known as the “Minneapolis Miracle” game. In 2019, they lost to the Los Angeles Rams on one of the worst no calls in NFL history that costs the Saints a trip to the Super Bowl, even if they didn’t play as well as they could’ve. Last season, the Vikings beat the Saints yet again but this time in overtime of the NFC Wild Card round.

This season, the Saints have high expectations yet again. The offense has the potential to be just as great as last season. Alvin Kamara‘s name is lingering in trade talks this offseason but he hopes to stay with the team. The defense is getting better and better with that defensive line led by Cameron Jordan and backfield led by Malcolm Jenkins and Marshon Lattimore. Drew Brees isn’t getting any younger and this team would like to rally around him and get another Super Bowl for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. The NFC is tough but the Saints look like one of the best in the conference.

Buccaneers (+1200)

A new team has emerged as one of the favorites to win Super Bowl LV and that’s the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There’s one reason why they’re in the top five and it’s because of six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady. In an interesting offseason, Buccaneers fans rejoiced when hearing they’d get Brady. He got long time teammate Rob Gronkowski to come out of retirement to join him in Tampa Bay. This team already has weapons all around like Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and now Gronk. Tampa Bay inked a late free agent signing as they brought in running back Leonard Fournette, who will compete with Ronald Jones. They also have a three-headed monster on the defensive line with Shaquil Barrett (19.5 sacks last season), Ndamukong Suh, and Jason Pierre-Paul. The defensive backfield will have to get a little better but with this team, they’re poised to get better. The Buccaneers are a team to watch heading into the 2020-21 season.
