Week Seven of the NFL season is here and many teams are beginning to appear to be contenders for the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl and some are not. You can see some of those odds changing for each and every team and other odds on Arizona.Bet. Here are the top five contenders for the Super Bowl heading into week seven of the NFL season.
Top 5 Contenders for Super Bowl Based on Odds
5. Philadelphia Eagles (+1000)
Through six weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves barely in the top five odds to win the Super Bowl this season. This comes off of a rough loss to the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football last week. The loss was surprising as the Eagles were the final undefeated team in the league two weeks ago. However, the Eagles are now only one game ahead of the second place Washington Commanders in the NFC East after losses to the Denver Broncos and Giants. They will be a team to watch these next few weeks to see if the train can get back on the tracks for the Eagles.
4. Detroit Lions (+900)
The Detroit Lions have the fourth highest odds to win the Super Bowl through six weeks of the season. The Lions are 4-2 on the season and are coming off a tough two score loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football last week. The Lions had looked really good through weeks two through five after a rough showing on the road at Green Bay. However, a massive amount of injuries on the defensive side of the ball, especially in the secondary spelled doom for the Lions against the Chiefs.
Despite that, Detroit could still be easily in contention but still need to prove a lot through the remainder of the season. The Lions have a massive matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football this week.
3. Green Bay Packers (+700)
The current leader of the NFC North have the third highest odds to win the Super Bowl this season. The Green Bay Packers, who took down the No. 4 Lions week one has looked pretty good so far this season. With a 3-1-1 record, it looks to continue momentum through the heart of the regular season. The Packers have had close calls against the Bengals and Cowboys (tie) but still lost to the Cleveland Browns. Wasn’t a great look but has managed to look good all things considered since the loss. The Packers take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday to hopefully improve to 4-1-1.
T1. Kansas City Chiefs (+650)
Who would of thought, the Kansas City Chiefs are tied for first with the best odds to win the Super Bowl. Even when the Chiefs haven’t looked the greatest this season, you can’t count out Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense to lead them to the playoffs. The only thing that could make it difficult is how competitive the AFC West is this season. Denver and the Los Angeles Chargers are towards the top of the division and could make things difficult for the Chiefs. However, the Chiefs are still the Chiefs and should be in contention towards the final stretch of the regular season.
T1. Buffalo Bills (+650)
The final team of this top five is the Buffalo Bills. Another one of those, who would of thought? Josh Allen and the Bills are always a Super Bowl contender but haven’t managed to make it past the Chiefs pretty much every season. The Bills haven’t had the greatest start to the season, starting 4-2 and tied for first in the AFC East with the New England Patriots. The Bills are also are on a two game losing streak going into their bye week. They will need some good performances if they want to make it to the Big Game in February.
