Ranking Each International Game on the NFL Schedule

This offseason the NFL announced its expanded lineup of international games on the schedule. The league is by far the biggest in the United States but growing the game even more is the goal around the globe. This year’s slate of international games is fun and has a lot of intrigue. Because of that, there’ll be a lot of people wagering on these games and there’s more than a few trusted offshore gambling sites to place bets on. We’re just a few months away from the NFL season so let’s take a look at every international game in 2025.

Ranking Each NFL International Game in 2025

1. Chiefs vs Chargers (Week 1; Arena Corinthians; Sao Paulo)

This international game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers is the only divisional matchup between the seven on this list and for that, it belongs at number one. The NFL took their first trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil to play at Arena Corinthians last season and will do so again this season.

The Chargers are an up-and-rising team, improving to an 11-6 record last season after hiring Jim Harbaugh as their new head coach. They got blown out in the first round by the Houston Texans but have a lot to be excited about moving forward with Herbert at quarterback, Harbaugh at the helm, and the overall talent on the defensive end.

They finished second in the AFC West to the Kansas City Chiefs who went 15-2, making it the most wins in franchise history. They made it to the Super Bowl, although not having the outcome they wanted. They still have a guy named Patrick Mahomes at quarterback who still has Travis Kelce and young talent to throw to at wide receiver. Don’t forget the mastermind behind all of it, Andy Reid. All of that combined will make the Chiefs contenders once again and the Chargers are hoping to get there soon, making this a can’t-miss divisional showdown in Brazil.

2. Vikings vs Steelers (Week 4; Croke Park; Dublin)

The first regular season game played in Ireland at Croke Park will have the Minnesota Vikings take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. This will be one of two international games that the Vikings will participate in, with the other one being in London vs the Browns.

We all know the history of the Steelers and their rich background as a franchise. That’s what will make this game great but add in the fact that they’ll be facing a 14-win team from last season in the Vikings, and this game is more must-see TV than it already was.

The Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers to a one-year deal and he will be throwing to newly acquired wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. Pittsburgh also has one of the best defenses in the league led by T.J. Watt. On the other side, the Vikings far exceeded everyone’s expectations for 2024 and will look to stay on that path in 2025. They will have young quarterback J.J. McCarthy at quarterback throwing to with arguably the best receiver in the game, Justin Jefferson. Although this game is ranked second, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s first when it’s all said and done.

3. Rams vs Jaguars (Week 7; Wembley Stadium; London)

You can’t have an international game without including the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. London has become like a second home to the Jaguars and that alone makes this game a big deal. They’ll face off against the Los Angeles Rams in a week 7 matchup.

The Jaguars had a disappointing 2024 season, finishing with just four wins. Their prize for doing so is star WR/CB combo Travis Hunter. The team selected him with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and he has already created excitement around the organization and the fanbase.

Hunter’s game will already have eyes wanting to watch him but the Rams also got a shiny new toy on offense with Davante Adams, who still is playing at a high level despite his age. He will be playing alongside Puka Nucua with Matthew Stafford under center. The Rams took the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles to the brink in last year’s divisional round and may have only gotten better.

It’s hard to gauge what the Jaguars will be this season but with Hunter, they could be headed in the right direction. The Rams on the other hand are looking to be one of the top teams in the NFC in 2025 and become contenders. Those factors are why this international game will be intriguing.

4. Commanders vs Dolphins (Week 11; Santiago Bernabeu Stadium; Madrid)

Week 11 will bring us the Washington Commanders facing the Miami Dolphins in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, which has the second-largest seating capacity for a football/soccer stadium in Spain. The atmosphere will be electric and if these two teams live up to the hype, the game will add even more to that.

The Dolphins have had 8-10 wins for each of the last five seasons and the offense has a chance to go off at any point. They have speed on offense with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle at wide receiver while having De’Von Achane in the backfield. This can be a fun offense to watch and showing that on an international stage was the right decision.

What was an even better decision is having them face the Washington Commanders, who are cementing themselves as a legit contender after making the NFC Championship Game this past season. They were led by Jayden Daniels, who lit up the NFL and won the Rookie of the Year. The Commanders revitalized offense took them from a 4-13 record in 2024 to a 12-5 record the next season. As much as the Dolphins’ offense can be fun to watch, the Commanders proved it and are now one of the most exciting teams in the league, making for what should be an enjoyable international game.

5. Falcons vs Colts (Week 10; Olympic Stadium; Berlin)

A week before the international game in Spain comes the game in Berlin at Olympic Stadium when the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts square off in what could be a great battle of young quarterbacks.

The Falcons are led by Michael Penix Jr., who has only started in the last three games of the season for the team. In those three games, he threw for 737 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Everyone will get to see what Penix can do in a full season and that includes starting an international game with passionate fans in Germany.

Opposing him is what everyone thinks will be Anthony Richardson, although the Colts are having an off-season quarterback competition with him and Daniel Jones. Richardson also has a injury that limit him in camp. Nonetheless, he has been a letdown so far for Indianapolis but when it comes to talent, he has lots of it. If he can bring that out and stay consistent, the Colts just got a whole lot better as well as this game against the Falcons in Spain.

6. Vikings vs Browns (Week 5; Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; London)

The Vikings have back-to-back international games, one in week 4 against the Steelers in Ireland, and this week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns in London. This will be one of two games played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

We already know what the Vikings come in with, a first-year starting quarterback in McCarthy and Jefferson at receiver. It will be the first look at McCarthy and his play will dictate how the Vikings season will go. They brought in Sam Darnold last year and he turned his career around so that’s a good sign for McCarthy’s career.

The Browns on the other hand will either have veteran Joe Flacco under center, Kenny Pickett, or a first-year starter themselves with Dillon Gabriel or Shedeur Sanders. It will be a battle all off-season to figure out who the quarterback will be. Experience screams Flacco obviously but there’s talent in that room. Whoever it is will be an intriguing option for Cleveland and who knows, the battle could still be going on by the time they get to week 5.

7. Broncos vs Jets (Week 6; Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; London)

After the Vikings-Browns week 5 game, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host the Denver Broncos vs New York Jets the following week.

The Broncos are coming off a 10-win season, where they made the playoffs for the first time since they won the Super Bowl in 2015. It looks like they finally have the quarterback they’ve been looking for since Peyton Manning as Bo Nix will enter his second season. The Broncos also have a great defense as they led the NFL in sacks in 2024. They also have one of if not the best cornerbacks in the league in Patrick Surtain ll.

The Jets meanwhile have a new quarterback after Rodger’s departure and that’s Justin Fields. Fields only started six games for the Steelers last season after Russell Wilson came back from injury, even after going 4-2. It’ll be interesting to see the dynamic of Fields with Garrett Wilson. The Jets also have one of their own cornerbacks that rival Surtain in Sauce Gardner.
