The NBA playoffs have officially taken off into the second round. It’ll be interesting to see how this matchup plays out because we’ve seen that both teams are capable of dismantling the other. If Giannis can continue to dominate the NBA, the Bucks seem to be in a good position. However, the defense of the Celtics may be too much for the “Greek Freak” to handle. Either way, this series looks to be one of the best of the remaining four.
Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Yet another intriguing matchup this playoff season, Denver and Portland are currently tied at one apiece with game three set for Friday at 10:30 pm. With the unfortunate injury to Jusuf Nurkic earlier in the season, the Blazers are struggling to contain the monster in Nikola Jokic. Jokic was a scoring machine in game one putting up 37 points and was a rebounding machine in game two putting up 14 boards. Although Damian Lillard struggled in game two, He was more of his same self in game one when he put up 39 points. The series has been very physical in the first two games and will most likely continue to be for the remaining ones. I could see either of these teams advancing to the conference finals.
The Nuggets have already lost their home court advantage by splitting the two games, so it really is the Blazers’ series to lose. But, the Nuggets have been proving the NBA wrong all season so I don’t expect them to just roll over and give up. It’ll be vital for the Nuggets to split in Portland for them to have a chance. For the Blazers, they just got to their job at home and their trip is booked to the NBA Western Conference Finals.
