The T-Wolves are leading the Northwest Division and are firmly in the fourth seed of the Western Conference. Jimmy Butler is leading the team with 21.7 points.game and has been a great acquisition for this young team. The T-Wolves beat the Clippers in their earlier matchup in December 112-106.
Tuesday
Who: Cleveland Cavaliers @ San Antonio Spurs

The Cleveland Cavaliers make their only trip to San Antonio to take on the Spurs. The Spurs will be without Kawhi Leonard as he is out indefinitely with a quadricep injury. Entering the week, the Spurs own a one game lead over the Timberwolves for the third seed in the Western Conference. The Cavaliers have struggled over the past couple of weeks but remain atop the Central Division. The Cavaliers are fifth in the league in scoring at 109.4 pints/game, where the Spurs are first in the league giving up only 97.6 points/game. It will be a game of contrasting styles.

The Timberwolves continue their big week traveling to Portland to take on division foe Trailblazers. Starting the week, the Timberwolves are four games up on the Blazers. The Blazers start the week as the sixth seed in the West. The Blazers have a big game against the Nuggets on Monday and will need to keep on winning to hold onto their playoff spot. Damian Lillard is leading the Blazers in points and assists with 25 points and 6.5 assist/game. This is the third game between these two teams, The T-Wolves have won both games.

Who: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Golden State Warriors

The Timberwolves end their week traveling to Oakland to take on the best team in the NBA the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are leading the league in scoring at 115.9 points a game. Entering the week, the Warriors lead the west at 31-9. They hold a eight and a half game lead over the fourth seed T-Wolves. This starts a three game home stand for the Warriors with the Knicks on Tuesday and the Celtics on Saturday night. The Warriors beat the T-Wolves 125-101 early in November.
Friday
Who: Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans

The Rockets travel to New Orleans to take on the division rival Pelicans. At the start of the week, the Rockets are leading the Southwest division at 31-12 and up eight and a half game on the Pelicans. The Pelicans are lead by All-Star big men Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. In their first game, the Rockets beat the Pelicans 130-123 in early December. This is a match up of the second (Rockets) and fourth (Pelicans) teams in scoring per game. This should be a higher scorer game between two of the Western Conference high power offenses.
