Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane

Three Most Lethal English Premier League Strikers

The English Premier League was and is the most competitive football league in the world. The likes of Alan Shearer, Andrew Cole, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and many other legends were helped by the Premier League to stamp their individuality on the football world.

Three Most Lethal English Premier League Strikers

Every club in the Premier League strives to have the best strike force in the world. They need a speed machine to lead the way. There have been many who have topped the charts, broken records, and set new benchmarks; however, almost an equal number of players failed to make their mark. Predictably, this season too saw many big names joining forces with the English clubs and making a lasting impact with their performances.

The top six in the Premier League are all equipped with a lethal strike force to complement their success. As the season heads towards its conclusion, let’s have a look at the most lethal Premier League strikers.

Harry Kane

There were many who dubbed Harry Kane as a one-time wonder after his breakout season in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur. But the striker followed up impressively and made the skeptics eat their words. He has been phenomenal this season with 19 goals so far. Unfortunately, he is out for the rest of the season due to the injury he suffered against Millwall in the FA Cup. However, he has been pivotal in the resurgence of Tottenham, who are currently sitting second on the Premier League table. His performance in Europe declares him a leading strike force for England in the coming years.

Romelu Lukaku

Everton acquired the Belgian for £28 million from Chelsea, which at that point didn’t please many at the Merseyside, but the investment did pay off, big time. Ever since he has joined forces with Everton, he has been a lethal force for the club, scoring goals and complementing the success with his assists as well. His ability to score goals has sharpened with time and he is now one of the most wanted strikers in Europe. He is currently the joint-leading highest goal scorer in the Premier League with 19 goals. His form and mobility justifies why every big club in the league wants him on their side.

Diego Costa

Despite being average last season, he ended up with figures that any striker would be proud to have; however, this wasn’t enough for Costa. The Brazilian-born Spaniard made an instant impact in the Premier League. However, he was unable to follow up, which raised questions over his acquisition. He was anxious to make his mark this season. Costa wasted no time replicating his performance from his first season at Chelsea. Costa is ruthless, rampant and most importantly clinical in front of the goal, and that’s the only thing that matters. He was leading the way as far as goals are concerned for the first half in the Premier League this season, but Harry Kane and Lukaku bounced back strongly. However, with 17 goals to his name, he is not far behind. The last time he scored 20 goals, Chelsea took the title home.
