Do Not Sleep on These NFL Teams in 2024

The 2024 NFL preseason has officially arrived, and each team will be figuring out who will make their final 53-man rosters. While some NFL teams are looking to build off the momentum they created last season, others will be looking to turn a new page and move on from a forgetful outing. Not all 32 teams are equally equipped to mount a reversal of fortune in the weeks to follow. But some have made splashes in either free agency or the NFL Draft and have gotten fans and experts talking.

Here are someĀ  NFL teams that could shock the league in the upcoming 2024 NFL season.

Do Not Sleep on These NFL Teams in 2024

Tennessee Titans

2023 was a season that the Music City would like to forget, to say the least. Their lackluster offense and 6-11 record left little to root for. Not only will Tennessee have to make do without their premier star, Derrick Henry, but also Mike Vrabel lost his job as the Titans’ head coach. That being said, 2024 is a chance for Tennessee to turn a new leaf, with a new general manager and head coach in tow. Quarterback, Will Levis, will have an offensive-minded head coach in Brian Callahan, the former offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals, and new weapons to call upon in Tyler Boyd and Calvin Ridley.

With DeAndre Hopkins out for the first portion of the regular season, Boyd and Ridley should take this opportunity in getting acclimated with Callahan’s play scheme and help Levis develop as Tennessee’s new signal caller.

Washington Commanders

Needless to say, the front office for the nation’s capital would like to start the new chapter of Washington football on the right foot. Dallas’ defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, will man the helm in FedEx Field with two prominent names in his coaching staff: ex-Eagles Offensive Coordinator, Brian Johnson, as Quinn’s assistant, and Kliff Kingsbury as the new offensive coordinator. Both will be beneficial in developing Jayden Daniels, Washington’s first-round pick in the latest NFL Draft and latest Heisman Trophy winner, as the next face of the franchise.

Daniels may not be working with the most loaded roster in the league. But with Austin Ekeler, Zach Ertz, Jamison Crowder, and Terry McLaurin around, Daniels should have plenty to work with for his debut season.

Los Angeles Chargers

It is safe to say that few teams have more headlines over the offseason than the Los Angeles Chargers. Like the Titans, the Chargers will have a new general manager and a new head coach in tow for 2024, most notably Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh will have lots of work to do to change the culture in Inglewood, largely due to last year’s collapse. Brandon Staley may be gone from the Bolts. However, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler have moved out as well, leaving Justin Herbert with new faces to work with.

Fortunately, Harbaugh will have a star-studded defense led by Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, and Derwin James to help set the tone. Harbaugh has also recruited Greg Roman, former offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, to help Herbert get back to fighting form after a hand injury put him out for a good chunk of 2023.
