Crewe Alexandra, Fleetwood Town, and Milton Keynes Dons all secured rather impressive results in the latest League One game-week. The results from November 14 have further congested the already tightly-packed League One Table. Currently, Peterborough still leads the way, but defeat on the road to Crewe means that there are only five points between The Posh and Portsmouth in sixth.

Crewe Comfortably Defeat the Table Toppers
Two first-half goals earned Crewe a deserved 2-0 victory against a Peterborough side who came into the game unbeaten in their last eight.
Harry Pickering opened the scoring with a coolly taken penalty before Charlie Kirk finished off a driving run with a superb finish into Christy Pym‘s bottom corner, five minutes before half-time. Peterborough never recovered from their poor display in the first half. They barely threatened Will Jaaskelainen’s goal and their form of late was subsequently quashed by an excellent Crewe side.
Despite Crewe going into the game in 18th position, Posh boss Darren Ferguson was highly complementary towards the Railwaymen. He labelled David Artell‘s men as the ‘best footballing side’ in the league and was aware of their supposed false position.
Fleetwood Score Four to Sink Bristol Rovers
Two goals either side of half-time ensured a 4-1 victory for Fleetwood Town over Bristol Rovers. The Fishermen’s comfortable victory at the Memorial Stadium was their fourth win in their last five games.
Callum Camps and Paddy Madden fired the visitors into a two-goal lead at half-time, before Josh Grant halved the deficit on the hour-mark. Camps added his second and Fleetwood’s third in the 82nd minute and Ched Evans sealed the game with a penalty in the 86th minute.
The heavy defeat for Bristol Rovers led to the sacking of Rovers manager Ben Garner, with the Pirates dropping down to 18th in the table. Fleetwood, however, has moved to two points off the playoffs and after a relatively poor start, are back fighting for promotion.
Milton Keynes Dons Hold Out Against Sunderland
Milton Keynes Dons had to come from behind to secure a 2-1 win at the Stadium of Light. The Dons are unbeaten in their last four games and have comfortably moved away from the dreaded relegation zone.
Max Power opened the scoring for the hosts in the 12th minute. But, their lead was short-lived and the visitors levelled the game four minutes later, when Cameron Jerome nodded the equaliser. Scott Fraser proved to be the eventual match winner in the 47th minute when he converted from the penalty spot.
The defeat leaves The Black Cats in sixth position.
