Jonathan Taylor could become one of the most talked-about names ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline if the Indianapolis Colts consider moving their star running back. With his explosive running ability, physical strength and proven playmaking skills, Taylor could attract interest from several teams looking to strengthen their offenses. However, a trade remains speculative, and Indianapolis has not confirmed that Taylor is available.
Here are three landing spots for Jonathan Taylor if he’s moved.
Jonathan Taylor’s Top 3 Landing Spots
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are the only team in the NFL that is undefeated. To keep that up, they could definitely upgrade the running back position so they can stay undefeated.
Their top running back right now is Aaron Jones; he recently signed an extension, but bringing in Taylor would upgrade that position for sure, and Jones is 31 years old, so soon he won’t even be the starting running back for the Vikings. Minneosta’s offense has not been that impressive. They rank 28th league-wide in offensive EPA per play, and that’s why it is crazy that they’re the only team undefeated in the league.
Taylor would be a long-term fit for the Vikings; he is only 27 years old, and given that Jones is turning 32 in December, it might be a good idea to bring in a young running back. Taylor fits perfectly on the team, making them one of the top landing spots in a potential trade.

Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks rushing offense has not been the same since losing Kenntah Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. The Seahawks are ranked 22nd in rushing yards, which is not as good as last season.
Seattle is waiting for Zach Charbonet to return, and the rookie from Notre Dame, Jadrian Price, who will return soon from injury. The Seahawks are depending on their third-string running backs, and if they want to be a top contender for the Super Bowl this season, depending on your third-string running back will definitely not help.
The Seahawks should definitely try to pursue the talented running back Taylor; he would be a huge improvement to their offense and their running game. If the Seahawks bring in Taylor, maybe that could change the season, make them more of a Super Bowl contender. That said, the only thing is: would the Seahawks be willing to trade for him after the acquisition of Quenton Nelson? That would be the only problem, and they would have to pay his contract as well.
Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos had high hopes for Jonah Coleman before he hurt his ankle, but now he is back from injury, the question is, will the Broncos start him or J.K. Dobbins, who they have been playing lately?
The Broncos are true Super Bowl contenders so far, with only two losses on their record; they are one of the best teams in the NFL right now. Imagine if they were to bring in Taylor; they could upgrade their running back room and make themselves stronger.
If the Broncos want to go for a top player, Taylor would fit perfectly; he would upgrade the running room and take off pressure from Bo Nix.
