Tony Pollard Trade Rumors: Top Landing Spots for the Titans Running Back

Tony Pollard could be moving to a different team; he is definitely one of the running backs you should be watching. With multiple teams looking for playmakers, Pollard’s experience in the league makes him a top target.

If the Tennessee Titans decided to explore a trade, several teams would be interested. A new team for Pollard could bring a refreshing opportunity for him.

Tony Pollard Trade Rumors: Three Teams That Could Make a Move

1. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are definitely in trouble with their running back core. Zach Charbonnet is out, and so is Jadarian Price, who will probably miss the next couple of games. Just a couple of days ago, the Seahawks brought in veteran Joe Mixon, who could have been a replacement for Charbonnet until he returns from injury.

However, Mixon failed his physical and Seattle decided not to sign the veteran. Pollard would be a perfect candidate for the Seahawks to go after. The Seahawks stand at 3-1 this season, and they will definitely need a running back replacement for the next couple of weeks. This week the Seahawks take on the San Francisco 49ers, who stand undefeated at 4-0, and could be the best team in the NFL right now.

The Seahawks appear to have a lot of names on their depth chart for the running back room, but none as good as Pollard. Bringing in Pollard would be a great move because his ability to break through the gaps his offensive linemen give him and his speed could be a great threat on the field.

Adding Pollard could also give Seattle another experienced option that originally was supposed to be Mixon. Pollard could step into the offense quickly because he has experience as a lead running back. With the Seahawks trying to compete near the top of the NFC, adding another proven player could make sense for the team.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley suffered an injury against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, getting tackled by a linebacker on the sideline. The Eagles are one of the teams right now that have the most injuries this season. Barkley is not expected to play this weekend and could miss multiple games. The Eagles are 2-2 this season so far, not a start they hoped for.

If Barkley were to miss this week’s game, then Jaydon Blue could get a lot of work for the Eagles fresh off the practice squad if they choose to promote him, so a move to bring in Pollard would not be a bad idea for the Eagles.

Blue is decent but definitely not a running back you want to rely on for a couple of weeks. If the Eagles were to bring in a running back like Pollard, that would be a huge move, and probably a very smart move as well. Pollard sits as the Titans’ top running back this season, and he has done well.

Pollard could also give Philadelphia another player who can make plays in both the running and passing game. If Barkley needs more time to recover, having Pollard in the backfield could help take some pressure off the rest of the offense. The Eagles are still trying to find consistency, so adding an experienced running back could help them during a tough part of the season.

3. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are undefeated at 4-0, even though they have one of the worst offenses in the league. The Vikings’ running back is Aaron Jones, a 31-year-old veteran. If Jones were to get injured, the Vikings would have no one to rely on; that is why Pollard would be a player to go after. Jones has been very good without Jordan Mason on the field, but the possibility of losing him makes a move for Pollard a great idea.

Pollard has topped 1,000 yards in each of the last four seasons, so if he could bring that talent to the Vikings, the Vikings could have a much better offense, and he could create some matchup problems against other teams.

Minnesota could also use Pollard as another option alongside Jones instead of waiting for an injury to happen. His experience would give the Vikings more depth at a position that can take a lot of punishment throughout the season. If the Vikings want to keep their undefeated start going, Pollard could be an interesting addition to their offense.
