Daniel Hill carries the ball against Georgia. Hill will be looking for a bounce-back, as he is on of the top Crimson Tide stars to watch this weekend.

Alabama vs. Georgia: 3 Crimson Tide Stars Who Could Change the Game

After starting the season undefeated at 5-0, the Alabama Crimson Tide enter Week 6 with plenty of momentum and confidence. The Crimson Tide have already taken down multiple ranked opponents and even avenged last year’s loss to the Florida State Seminoles.

Now, Alabama faces another major test against the Georgia Bulldogs. With two of the best quarterbacks in college football leading their teams, this matchup could be one of the biggest games of the season.

Three Crimson Tide Stars to Watch vs. Georgia

3. Daniel Hill RB

Alabama’s top running back is Daniel Hill. He has rushed for 222 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Hill is the best running back on the team ahead of Kevin Riley and also Trae’shawn Brown.

Hill isn’t just a big guy who can run you over. He can explode through you and frolic through the daylight he created.

“I look for Daniel to be the guy that when Alabama needs a first down … that they can go to him and always count on him,” former Meridian High School offensive coordinator Kevin Gandy said.

Hill is very impressive with his ability to cut around defenders, but his willingness to embrace contact with players may just be the coolest thing. We definitely know who Alabama would rely on if it is raining. They would probably not throw much, so then they would run Hill.

2. Zabien Brown CB

Zabien Brown is a cornerback for Alabama. Brown started his career with Alabama in 2024, and he recorded three interceptions that year.

Brown is a lockdown cornerback with an advanced football IQ. One of his best abilities is speed, as he stays on the receiver’s tail and has great awareness. NFL scouts will definitely keep an eye on him with the great talent he has. Brown is 6’2”, 194 pounds.

Throughout the season, especially against some of the toughest offenses in the SEC, Brown’s combination of size, speed, instincts, and physicality makes him a difficult matchup for opposing receivers. If he continues developing, he could become one of the top defensive backs in the 2027 NFL Draft.

1. Keelon Russell QB

For a couple of weeks in a row, Keelon Russell has been one of the Heisman Trophy risers. After a great game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Russell will most likely be a Heisman contender entering Week 6. Russell has 1,414 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, and only two interceptions.

His strong start to the season has quickly put him among the nation’s top quarterbacks and made him a player to watch in the Heisman race. If Russell can continue producing at this level, especially in big SEC matchups, his name could continue climbing the rankings as the season progresses.

Russell once again showed why he is becoming a serious Heisman Trophy contender with another impressive performance. His three touchdown passes helped Alabama control the game from start to finish, while his 285 passing yards showed his ability to consistently move the ball down the field. With his confidence growing each week, Russell is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in college football and is a player to watch not only this weekend, but for the rest of the season
