NFL Exec Destroys North Carolina After Ban: “Nobody’s Mad”

After Bill Belichick left the New England Patriots, there has been some bad blood between the NFL and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Belichick even went so far as to say that since he wasn’t allowed at the Patriots facility, then they weren’t allowed at his in UNC. Yet, it seems certain people don’t really care- at all.

NFL Executive Responds to North Carolina’s Ban

“They don’t have players. They aren’t talented.”

Simply put, the unnamed AFC scouting director torched the Tar Heels, calling them “untalented” and the university as a “s–ty visit”. The Tar Heels have had some recent success in the past, but unfortunately never as much as they could’ve done. The Tar Heels have consistently seen the ACC fall into the hands of either the Clemson Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Florida State Seminoles, and even the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Tar Heels have seen a horrifying reality unfold in front of them over the last seasons that is summarized by this brutal statement. Unlike other teams, such as FSU last year, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers for several years, the Tar Heels genuinely are a bad team.

Is this brutal? Not really, considering North Carolina doesn’t really have any NFL draft talent on the team and showed that in their opening week loss to the TCU Horned Frogs. Not to mention, it wasn’t even a loss, it was a blowout. TCU absolutely destroyed Belichick’s team 48-14 and didn’t look back for a second.

North Carolina Needs a Rebuild

North Carolina needs to rebuild from the ground up, and genuinely have talent while doing so. Even in UNC’s victory against the Charlotte 49ers, the Tar Heels didn’t really look that good, winning 20-3 in an offensive lackluster showing. In order for this team to even sniff the playoffs in the next five seasons, the Tar Heels are in need of a significant talent rebuild. If there is one man to do it, that might be legendary coach Belichick.

Yet, even so there remains to be questions about whether or not Belichick can bring his team from nothing to something with his age. Overall, the future of the Tar Heels doesn’t seem to be in too good of hands and this ban doesn’t exactly help them or their players. Out of everyone, the actual players are hurt by this because there chances of doing anything in the NFL are decreased. Perhaps at the end of the day Belichick will rebuild the program, but for now they don’t seem to be in a good position to do so.

This Season Has Been Exciting So Far For Many Programs, Perhaps UNC Can Follow Suit Soon

In the modern age of CFB, any team from the Indiana Hoosiers to the USF Bulls have a chance to compete and become a stud of a team. North Carolina just isn’t good right now, but for the respectable coach Belichick, this shouldn’t be impossible at all. A rebuild is hard, but now it is much more possible. And perhaps it is easier than it has ever been.

North Carolina’s ban of the Patriots scouts doesn’t really matter until- well, the North Carolina Tar Heels matter. For now, no one is raising an eyebrow to this team just yet. There is much to prove for Belichick and the Tar Heels. Losing 48-14 surely doesn’t help. And really, banning scouts from attending games doesn’t exactly do much either.
