So far, movement has seemed limited by the top English clubs; but here are the top five new Premier League signings to look forward to in the 2017/18 Premier League season.

5 New Premier League Signings to Shine Next Season

5. Dominic Solanke, Liverpool

The Reds agreed a deal to bring the youngster to Anfield from Chelsea, when the striker’s contract expires on July 1st.

The 19 year-old impressed in the under 20s World Cup, where England came home with the trophy. The striker scored four goals in seven games in the competition, finishing joint second highest goalscorer.

He also showed signs of his talent when on loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in the 2015-16 season, bagging seven goals in 25 league appearances.

There is no doubt the England youth international has the ability to score goals he is just in need of game time. Under Jurgen Klopp he could blossom into a top striker for Liverpool.

4. Davy Klaassen, Everton

The former Ajax midfielder joined the Toffees for a hefty £23.7m on a five-year deal, looking on first glimpse an exciting signing.

The Dutch international has played his whole career at Ajax, coming through their famous academy. He made 163 appearances scoring 49 goals in his time there. The former captain of the 33 time Eredivisie league champions also helped lead the team to a Europa League final appearance.

The 24 year-old spoke on the influence of his fellow countryman and manager Ronald Koeman in his move, “The moment that I spoke with the manager directly I got a good feeling. He’s an honest guy, we talked about the club, about the way he wants to play and that gave me a positive feeling.

“I talked to him about the club and everything we want to achieve and he was really positive. It’s difficult to leave Ajax but I think this is a good step for me now and I’m really looking forward to my time here.”

The attacking midfielder managed 14 league goals last campaign, a improvement on his 2015/16 season, where he scored 13 goals and produced eight assists earning him the crown of being voted Dutch Footballer of the Year.

Everton boss Koeman spoke on his delight and excitement that Klaassen will bring to the fans, “He’s a player who is only 24 but has a lot of experience and is a leader on the pitch. He has already captained Ajax for two seasons and that shows you the type of person he is.
“He is hardworking, likes to press and, of course, will give us more creativity and goals.”

3. Victor Lindelof, Manchester United

The centre back was signed from Benfica on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The Swedish international will provide cover and competition in the heart of the United defence.

The 22 year-old made 54 appearances for the Primeira Liga champions last season being a solid figure in Benfica’s back four.

The 6ft 2in defender started his career in the youth ranks of Swedish side Vasteras SK making 41 appearances. Thus helping the side to promoted to second tier of Swedish football. He has also impressed in national colours, starting all three Sweden group stage games in Euro 2016.

The fee believed to be around £30.7m shows the expectation that Lindelof will be a success at Old Trafford. He spoke on his move to United, “I am thrilled to be joining Manchester United. I have enjoyed my time at Benfica enormously and I have learned a lot there. But I’m looking forward to playing in the Premier League at Old Trafford and for Jose Mourinho. I’m keen to get started and make my contribution to the team’s efforts to win more trophies.”

2. Mohammed Salah, Liverpool

Now this deal has not been completed yet, but reports say Liverpool will complete the £39m signing from AS Roma. The Egyptian winger would be the Reds’ record signing as well as the most expensive African player of all time.

Salah has previously played in the Premier League for Chelsea, scoring two goals in 13 league appearances. However, his potential was rarely seen with first team opportunities limited in his two seasons at the London club.

The 25-year-old only moved to Roma permanently last summer having impressed on loan in a spell the season before. The Egyptian bagged 19 goals last season and 15 in the 2015/16 campaign showing the goalscoring threat that Liverpool would gain.

Salah suits the versatility Reds boss Jurgen Klopp likes to have in his forwards at his disposal. He has predominately played on the right wing, but demonstrated his ability to perform on the left and through the centre as a secondary striker as well.

Liverpool have been linked with many stars in the transfer window. This would be a very exciting signing with Salah’s blistering pace, stretching defence’s and ability to finish when through on goal.

1. Bernardo Silva, Manchester City

Silva made the move from Monaco to Manchester City for a rumoured £43.5m plus further possible add ons of £17.5m.

The Portuguese star won Ligue 1 last season and was a pivotal player in their Champions League campaign reaching the semi finals; defeating Borussia Dortmund and City en route to the last four of the competition.

The attacking midfielder made 51 appearances last season, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further 10. He is to be a long term replacement for 31 year-old City midfielder David Silva.

Silva spoke on his admiration for City manager Pep Guardiola, “It feels great. To be honest I’m now at one of the best teams in the world. To be part of this club and to have this opportunity is great. “I’m very happy to be part of Manchester City’s team, I look forward to trying to do my best to help the team reach their goals.

“Of course when you have the opportunity of being trained by Pep Guardiola, you don’t say no. What he did in Barcelona and Bayern Munich was amazing and we expect also here that he will win titles. It’s great to be working with him and to have this opportunity.”

Blessed with pace and great vision the 22 year old is expected to be an imminent star in the Premier League.
